Who gets the Swans Optus match report? What a load of garbage.
Still you couldn't be too disappointed as despite going away empty handed we did turn in a much better four-quarter performance than we had for probably a month.
1 goal in a half of football is a four-quarter performance!?!?
Considering the Eagles sit second and have only lost three games all year to stretch them to the limit in such a tight contest certainly augers well as we strive to get back on track for the remainder of the season.
Considering we are the reigning premiers, we led by 5 goals at half time and by 3 goals with 8 minutes to go, WC only just beat Hawthorn last week, WC were beaten by the Bulldogs the week before, and had a number of players missing, it was a very disappointing outcome and doesn't augur well for anything.
Only thing is now, by losing that game, we sit in seventh spot and a long way from the top four which provides such vital impetus for a finals assault. However we can only determine our own destiny and that means we need to get back on the winning track as soon as possible if we are to be around in September.
Losing that game and the other ones we should have won is why we're 7th. The rest of this stuff is just mindless cliched spin.
