dont seem to be to popular, but got 2 of there albums and they are sensational.
have a bit of modern pink floyd feel to them.

Great band. "Ladies and Gentlemen we are floating in space" is a phenomenal record. Have found their stuff a little too overblown since then, but still pretty great. Similar to Mercury Rev in a way. Made a perfect record ("Deserter's Songs") and then went a little too overboard with their new sound. Not that I'm complaining too much.

yep, first was floating in space then i got "let it come down" and its more over blown ect, still really good.

I've got "Lazer Guided Melodies" and "Ladies And Gentlemen...." - both are pretty good albums when you're in the mood. If you're not in the mood, it can sound like glorified elevator music.

I also liked the pre-Spiritualized band, Spaceman 3. Check out the song, "Big City" for their finest moment.

time for a bump.

All of 'Ladies And Gentlemen...' live in NY. Almost two hours of pure awesome. Download link is here. http://www.ideensynthese.de/spiritualized/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=9640

On Lazer Guided Melodies, it's a very good record...but the songs are done even better live. Smiles and Angel Sigh are a bit meh on the album...but on '****ed Up Inside'...oh god. Take Your Time and Shine a Light on Royal Albert are also much better than on LGM. Would love to see them live.

i would say they are pretty popular crownie and one of the most aclaimed british acts from last 20 years.

overtime i prob play let it come down the most.
dont just say something is prob my fav Spiritualized song

Thanks for the link. I was at the Radio City show last week; it was fantastic.

Good result that Truck. NME(?) album of the year in 1997 from memory. I saw them perform the album at the tail end of last year in London - it was also a brilliant show, must have been a 30 strong group of musicians/singers on stage. Was a very appreciative audience indeed.

Lay Back in the Sun, off "Pure Phase" is still a favourite.

Saw them at Primavera in Barcelona last year. Top notch.

I went to the Opera House performance of Ladies and Gentlemen... with a gospel choir and orchestra and it remains one of the greatest live performances I have seen.

I haven't got any of their albums but they were absolutely amazing when they closed the ATP festival at Mt Buller.

has got pretty good reviews so far and a few references to the beach boys.

will download over the weekend and listen next week.

pretty good album, it lulls for a few songs in the middle but the ending is strong.
