Yesterdays last race race in the quaddie summed up my spring. Had the 3 faves. One of them keeps the other 2 in a pocket then dies in the ass, gap opens up and they both try to get through it. Weirs horse still hasnt got out

I went average in September, started October evenly then it went well and truly to the dogs. November has been ok so far, but I pretty much live and die by success in Perth these days. Sydney and Melbourne racing I don't seem to have any idea.

The peaks are low and the troughs Earth's core deep, but I enjoy it regardless.

Finished up a little bit in the end. Didn't have too much of a flutter on Derby Day due to playing cricket. Had a good Cup Day, horrible Oaks Day and a Fastnet Tempest-Redzel double saved me on Saturday.

Had a great Cox Plate day, Derby day and Melbourne Cup day. Every other day was absolute crapola. Only had one single winner over the entire Caulfield carnival, Our Crown Mistress who was almost odds on.

Bad Oaks day with Aloisia dusting a billion multis but outside that an excellent carnival.

Big Derby and Cup days, solid Stakes day, Oaks was a write off. Always more fun when you win but I enjoyed the whole carnival

Must admit thoroughly enjoyed the racing carnival and did very well even with very little knowledge.

Used the Bluebet and Ubet money back specials for earlier races plus the TabTouch odds boost (and MB for 2nd and 3rd) for the major races. Joined Neds and MadBookie to use bonus bets for races not covered by the promotions. Tailed mainly Duritz and a few others who was on fire for the the first 3 days so got the Melbourne Cup winner, Derby winner etc. Entered a MC competition and won $500 in bonus bets for picking Rekindling. Used a couple of $150 bonus bets on Rich Charm and Shoals.

Must admit I was extremely lucky as well (for a change). Had 3 "saver" bets in a row win through Neds (refund if the horse loses in race 1). Had money on Gingernuts and then randomly picked Tosen Stardom at the last minute.

Finally backed a winner in the Emirates Airline Handicap. Hardly a prestigious race, but always seems to throw up value and I have always wanted to finish Flemington carnival on a high.

Otherwise I went not great but not terribly. Gotta give up the drunken bullshit quinellas.

Was pretty average/poor until the last race on Derby day. Then i smashed it

Got the tri on the last at Derby day collecting about $500.

Turned that into $1,800 on melbourne cup day. Got a couple of winners and the tri on the cup (collect $1,000ish).

Withdrew $1,500 from my account.

Had $300 for Oaks day and stayed even.

Got the quaddie on Stakes day @ 40%. Account at $3,500.

Pulled $3,000 out.

$500 in account yesterday. 3 winners and 4 places for the day. Account at $900.

Just withdrew another $600 this morning.

So collected just under $5,500 over the last fortnight.

Got to buy myself a pair of sunnies and a couple of ps4 games. $5k paid the obstetrician fees for the mrs and soon to be new baby.

Going to enjoy telling my son this story in a few years
