No Rocca, Barham?. Surely Barham wont play.

Fraser in.
The other guys are just token in's because you can name an extended bench IMO.

If there ever was a time for the "Rocca experiment" this week was it.

Unfortunately it looks like it's all but over for the big fella.

We cannot afford to play him next week leading into the finals series. He also cannot play during the finals series. Too many risks associated with Rocca and we do not want to flirt with form.

This young team has been brilliant.

Don't know if that is necessarily curtains for Rocca, it may just be that Mick wants to try out the Fraser up forward combo and see how it works. If it doesn't, Rocca may get a go next week.

Also I'm not so sure the extended bench is just making the weight. Leon might have a niggle and Johnson is not necessarily a lock - might see Steele for Leon (rest) and / or Barham for Johnson - commensurable kicking but more tackling pressure from Barham.

Everyone called it on Dawesome but it is okay trouble with him, Rocca Bryan, Reid and big lachie keefe the magoos are a bit top heavy and they get in each other way.

I expect Sidey might get a run, as Wellingham might had more than just cramp and Barham will get a run if Dick does have a shoulder problem. Which we were told were all clear from injuries last week

I think Sidey deserves another crack at the seniors and as the results unfold over the weekend some listed players maybe a bit saw.

If the Cats knock off the Dogs a little bit of resting may occur. If the Dogs win then it will be full steam ahead

In Fraser our Dawes, very happy with that change. You would think that Goldy, Sidey and Barham will remain emergencies. If one has to come in out of those I would like to see Sidey again.

No doubt the side named tomorrow will have just one change;

In: Fraser
Out: Dawes

But, I see a chance of either Dick or Wellingham not being 100% right.

In either case, give Steele a game, he can fill either role quite well and deserves it more then Barham.

If both are out, I'd say Goldy's ahead of Barham anyway.

I think it will come down to Friday night. If the cats get over the dogs then players might get a rest but if the dogs win then we will go in at full strength.

Nice, I reacon sidey will come in. Absolutely dominated the VFL

For who? Sidey won't push anyone out of a 93 point winner side... Maybe injuries, but both the boys you would consider to be under a cloud, trained this week (Boots and Dick) so I think it says the same.

Again, Dawes is in and out of the side, sigh.

Either have him in properly or not at all imo.

He got a crack at the top with Fraser out, but he was clearly the obvious one to make way. We can't just gift him time at the top til he gets the hang of it. He was average last week and I'm sure he isn't really surprised to make way.

He isn't in our finals 22, so no point messing around and keeping him up there.

Bad luck to Dawes. I think he's finding his feet at AFL level, and he'll have plenty of chances next year to cement his place.

I really hope Wood keeps his form as Fraser could be an excellent forward option.

Happy with the side and like most others only expect the one change of Fraser in for Dawes.

Wouldnt be surprised if Steele comes in for Dick though he looked to have a problem with his shoulder

If we win this week and the Cats knock off the dogs then the game against them will be a dead rubber - if this occurs Rocca will definitaly play round 22 then if he plays well he has a spot

Surely only Fraser to come back in. The others would have to be emergencies.
It would be stiff to drop anyone else after a 93 point win.

But what happens Igniter if Josh and Wood play well in rd 21 and Rocca gets included and plays well in rd 22 too?

Yeah its definitaly a tough one.

Fraser and Wood are IN no question about that. We need a good ruck duo come finals.

If you look at L.Brown and N.Brown i think they are competing against themselves for a spot at CHB so one of them is in IMO.

Possibly a small such as Dick misses out for Rocca. Then we play 3 talls Rocca, Anthony & Cloke along with 3 smalls Medders, Thomas & Davis up forward.

This may make us a bit too top heavy?
But Rocca's experience come finals and leadership may be a big factor....

What do you think?

Solid lineup, in my opinion. Really interested to see how Fraser goes in a different role. I think he'll be the only change to the side, barring injury to others. The back half looks very solid on paper.

I think we can play him next week if we have third sewn up and next week will be a better test for him as the doggies are a finals quality side

Dawes has taken a step the last few games. When he returns, he'll return a better player.

Although i think that Fraser for Dawes is probably a certinity i would not be supprised if goldy gets a run.
- leave fraser out one more week to make sure his is definantly right
- leigh brown to play as the second ruck, and a sydney dont have a tall foward line then match-ups r ok.
- Goldy to do his yearly stitch-up job on Micky O
- Provides Woody with probably the hardest test that he has had since fraser has been out, great warm up for the finals.

With all this being said still think fraser for dawes is logical and the better swap for the team and the finals. Fraser in the foward line, to me, makes us soooooo much more dangerious.
