The 30 seconds leading up to that full throttle reverse from Bail-out Smith has to be viewed to get the proper appreciation Jaz.

Timeline:

Q3 1:35 left - Chuck Cameron gets a goal to put Lions 13 ahead, Grand Final still well in the balance

Ball relayed back to middle for centre bounce by boundary umpires. From the bounce Bail-out gets a crumb and is tackled. Seen Elton John fight harder to escape the embrace of handsome young men than what Bail-out did here, but anyway, secondary stoppage.

Q3 1:27 From the secondary the ball ends up in the hands of no less scary figure than Brucey Reville, who is pursued by multiple players from behind and hemmed in at the front by Bail-out Smith....until the latter just somehow dematerialised and wasn't there any more. Bruce baby strolls out frontwards and drives the Lions deep inside 50, at 1:23 to go.

Q3 1:07 remaining Bail-out decides to fearlessly approach a bouncing ball with nobody in sight. Could take possession and effect simple handball to team-mate but this runs the moderate risk of being tackled or bumped by that fearsome figure Will Ashcroft, so Bail-out goes the tap to nobody option instead. Cooper O'Sullivan looks on in total disbelief that he has a player that frightened of body contact on his team, and consequently mops up the loose ball but feels so ashamed of his team-mate he misses a simple handball causing Bail-out to have to confront that powerhouse D Zorko 1 v 1.....

So his monumental squib effort v Zorko was actually his 3rd monumental squib effort in the worst 20 seconds of football you would ever see from a single player in a Grand Final. Or the best 20 seconds if you rate triple-squib exhibitions as highly as we do.
