And this is the demise of the English language. You do realise noticeably poor language is an indictment on yourself? I mean, you don't have to speak Ye Olde English, nor do you need to be a walking Macquarie, but there's a big difference between speaking like a Hungry Jacks-dwelling rat and someone of decent intellect.

No. If you wanted to know what an English course entails, you should've said that. "Benefits" infers the byproducts of having a degree. Y'know, like the benefit of studying medicine for ten years is a stable, rewarding, high-paying job. My comprehension isn't the issue, your way with words is.
A piece of paper with 'English degree' won't you get you a high paying job (for long). It's the theoretical knowledge that comes with the course that helps you in your employment. The benefits are what you learn. So what do you learn in an English coure??????? Its all I want to know not some stupid shitfight no one cares about.

Also, I don't understand how Silent Alarm can be a fan of Richo and BT seeing he is so against the uneducated.

Yeah, so I didn't reply because I didn't want to perpetuate some stupid, pointless bickering. Or, as you called it, "some stupid shitfight." But you seem intent on keeping it going, so whatever, dude.

I am not against the uneducated. Tertiary education, for whatever reason, didn't occur much in either side of my family. I'm liberal. I'm not Christopher Pyne ("the unemployed make me want to vomit up my lunch!") and I'm not "anti-uneducated," wherever you got that from.

You seem to have a pretty narrow minded perspective on just about everything.

Laters, dude.

Does anybody else know what the hell a uni level English course teaches people?
My googling reveals it teaches superior communication skills, better problem solving and critical analysis. You also study texts.
But how do they do this. Is it similar to year 11/12 english but obviously at a higher standard?
