We'll come out breathing fire after this weekends insipid performance.

Got a feeling Acres is in trouble.

I'm not even going to bother attempting to predict the ins and outs for this one, but it would be fairly obvious to assume a reshuffle would be on the cards.

I'm no less confident of beating Essendon now then when the fixture was released. The kick up the arse the playing group received from the Eagles and hopefully from the coaching group during the week I feel will help produce a strong performance against the cheats. The hardest part of our fixture is behind us and apart from this afternoon the results have been mostly positive despite the win/loss column not reflecting that.

Saints by plenty.

This, in quite a few ways, is a danger game for the side. So far, we've had two big losses - the Dogs and the Giants. Both times everyone on the forum was spewing. With good reason too. Each time, we came back and beat the Pies and then Demons respectively to earn some respect, helping us move on from the previous week's losses. However, at some point something has to give. We can't keep getting reamed every three games in cycles. Close loss, big loss, win. Rinse and repeat.

We'll being going into this game as favourites - a tag we've barely held since 2013. The key to winning won't be the opposition this weekend. Let's face it, if we've favourites then the opposition can't be great. And the Bombers aren't. For a multitude of reasons they are crap atm. The key will be how we respond to this week coupled with the external pressure of being favourites. Every man and his dog (or cat) will be expecting us to win. And so they should. I think so too. This time, the Bombers are the team who can play with freedom while each of our mistakes will be scrutinised. And when you come off a 100 point trashing, even more so.

So, while in ordinary circumstances I'd want a big win, I think I'll be happy if we just walk away with the 4 points. Even if we scarp through. This team has shown it has guts so I'm not questioning that. Next week will be about more than just that though.
