Someone responded to one of my Facebook posts that The Promotions Factory , owners of Star Athletic, has gone bust and won't be making Collingwood's 2017 kits. Any truth to this???

Apparently also Star Athletic wont be making Melbourne Storm's kits next year.

Massive fire sale at Olympic Park on now for all Star gear.
I bought some training jumpers for 10 bucks and shorts for 5.

Did ISC just buy out the Star contracts, then?

The Holden Racing team is the only remaining one I think, so I guess see were they go.

Couldn't see Collingwood allowing their contract to be on sold though.

Remember when Star first come in they were going to re define on field apparel, talk about a fizzer.

Star simply couldn't afford to supply apparel anymore they weren't making any money
Is that because no one bought the merchandise, or the actual cost of the material/manufacturer costs were too high to justify it for a company that doesn't specialise/focus on clothing?

Correct cost vs profit margin simply bit there and star even ran the store st the club not the club itself plus the cost of supplying all players and staff with all their gear becomes very costly
