It really frustrates me how they've basically hid the sequel trilogy away because of the backlash, rather than tried to rehabilitate it. Its like everyone has collectively forgotten that the louder community hated the prequels but there was a quiet bunch of fans who lived it or free to love it due to all of the stuff outside of the movies.

I reckon this would've been almost a free hit. If it worked, then boom, you've proven there is stuff in the sequels worth mining. If it failed then you're in the same position you are now. It's not like Disney or Lucasfilm have proven anything else is successful.

Haven't been following any general Star Wars news of late, so missed a few happenings. Apparently Starfighter has finished filming, gives them plenty of time for effects and reshoots. Daisy Ridley was in the news a couple of days ago saying New Jedi Order has a great script and is going ahead, albeit without the pressure of a specific release date. And apparently Rogue Squadron may be retooled as a TV series and Lucasfilm is allegedly working on a horror themed TV show.

Yeah I've completely tuned out. I am currently reading The Glass Abyss though, a Mace Windu novel that reads very much like a Dune sort of hard sci Fi, very different from most Disney books. Bit of a hard slog with how dense it is but enjoyable in its own way.

Haha, I’m reading that too and it’s taking forever as well. Too much time waxing lyrical about the surroundings, the customs etc. Doesn’t really feel like a Star Wars book.

Weirdly I like it for that reason but yes very slow going.

Have you read Mask of Fear? Really enjoyed that.

It is. Most if not all of Filoni's content has been panned. Or did you like Book of Boba Fett and Ahsoka?
 
Until I see an official trailer published from the offical Star Wars channel (not some Ai slop), I still don’t believe those projects are actually happening.
