Wow, no wonder people got pisssed off with the game. We went from 14fk per game in 2001, spiked at like 21 fk per game around about 2009-2010, now its coming back down to 16ish.

Both Windy Hill and Western Oval were chopped to bits. I went to Windy Hill a few weeks after that first low scoring game - the ground was mud from end to end.
1989 was the wettest winter in Melbourne for more than 50 years. The MCG and Princes Park were other similarly affected grounds. So much so that the MCG was closed for a weekend and games rescheduled for VFL Park.
As a Melbourne fan, I look forward to the day my team gets 29 inside 50s. Last year at Kardinia Park we only got 19 inside 50s against Geelong!

Would've come from CD and is probably not published. But if a club a) has few U23's, and b) they're subbed on/off, a club's average will be skewed.

Does anyone have stats on how many times each player has been targeted inside 50? I remember they were on pro-stats back in 2010 but I haven't been able to find any lately.

In Round 10, 1982 and Round 3, 2000, six sides scored 100 or more and didn't win. Is that a record?

Thanks, I missed that. I use the address rl.stats or something like that. Same site.
I really wish they would include some results with modern results. ie, the lowest round scores are all 1899 era, hardly relevant to todays game. Have an historical table, and a modern day table.
