Last Round there were 2 games with all four clubs scoring over 100pts? I suspect this wasn't that long ago.

Cheers mate - good stuff.

So the longest drought broken was just less than 10 years - although a new record was set with the 5 close games.

Good to see Carlton thrashing someone I suppose.

When was 140+ x3 last achieved in a round, a Saturday or Sunday before last weekend?

That last round was an extraordinary one. It's just such a pity that the media will spend the bulk of this week talking about the Gaff incident, when ideally we'd be hearing about all those fantastic games we have just seen, and how the competition is really in very good shape!

I think the ideal round has to have a mix of close games and lopsided games.

Throw in 140+ games and people will find it interesting again.

Having a look through old results and happened to see of games that Sydney lost, they played six consecutive by two goals or less in 2002.

Is there a superior record of clubs suffering such an extended run of close losses? Bearing in mind the Swans played a win or two in that sequence I’m disregarding wins during the sequence.

Edit: Just realised one result I included was 13 points. So this streak isn’t correct. :( still interested in what the answer to the question is though.

In such a case as Andrew Gaff breaking Andrew Brayshaw's jaw, as Gaff was found guilty, is Gaff or West Coast now responsible to pay for Brayshaw's medical bills?

Good stats question

On the balance of probabilities, I'd say no. He should seek damages via civil proceedings though.

Collingwood tonight are playing 41 43 44 and 46

Whem was the last time a team fielded 4 or more of players wearing numbers > 39?

Yesterday? Essendon - 41 42 43 45.

In R18, Essendon had five: 41 42 43 44 49.
In R17, Essendon had six: 41 42 43 44 45 49.

Actually, more recently than last night. In the most recent game to finish, Port Adelaide v West Coast:

Port Adelaide had 40 42 43 46.

Essendon's six in R17 is impressive.

We had Lindsay Thomas (48) playing for a while too, but Lienert (40) only debuted two weeks ago so they’ve never played in the same team as each other. I’d imagine Essendon would’ve had a lot during the top up player days. They had players running a round in the preseason wearing numbers as high as 60 in the 2014 preseason.

Terry Wallace made Rodney Grinter pay for his.

Andy Brayshaw won’t be paying a single cent for his.

Any suspicious percentages, like a team with many more wins than losses but a percentage under 100, or a team with many more losses than wins but a percentage over 100?

Does anyone know where I can find a list of players by club that includes their draft record?
Draftguru covers the draft very well. If you are talking about just the current playing lists I don't think it has all the information you are looking for on the one page, it just shows how they were "first drafted" into the AFL: https://www.draftguru.com.au/lists/2018/north-melbourne

If you click on any of the player names on the current playing lists pages you should at least be able to see the players entire draft record. If you go e.g. here you can see all the moves that North Melbourne have made over the years.

A number of years ago somebody asked whether anybody knew of any player from the history of any of the major leagues whose surname had started with X. North Melbourne currently have Tristan Xerri on their senior list. He has been given guernsey number 38 and was recruited from Caroline Springs, but is yet to make his senior debut.
