I create this thread more to pat someone in particular on the back, but also to make note of some key individual stats.

Chris Mayne is my man at the moment, having a sterling start to the season.
30 marks (Cloke, Lynch and Westhoff only forward ahead of him)
14 marks i50 (4th in the league)
31 tackles (at least 5 more then any forward)
8 goals
Is that not the complete forward in the modern game?? Seems to me he is perfectly suited, when he tackles you stay tackled.

Sandi
47 more hitouts then anyone else
2nd in contested marks

Hill
5th i50 - only 3 less then Pendels.

Pav
2nd contested possessions

Matthew Pavlich
Goals - 1
Behinds - 8

Fremantle Dockers
Games - 5
Wins - 4
Losses - 1

If you told me before the season that Pavlich would only have 1 goal after 5 games, but we'd have only lost 1 game, I'd have punched you in the nose for being such a donkey.

I love stats too.

Mayne is tops! We are getting a nice even spread of contributions which is very encouraging.

I know he isnt my buddy (wish he was) but check these out for Fyfey!!!

Total Handballs - Equal 1st (with Mundy and Pav)
Total Disposals - Equal 6th (with Pav)
Contested Possessions - Equal 6th (with Pendlebury)
Inside 50's - 12th
SC Total Points - 4th (Mundy is 2nd)
DT Total Points - 9th

I love stats too... but i think your missing something big here.

I knew my Buddy was in for a big year after only his big ears hurting his preseason prep. Check out his stats after the 5 games! (team rank in brackets)

Nathan Fyfe:
Kicks 68 (3rd)
Handballs 70 (=1st)
Marks 25 (=4th)
Tackles 21 (=4th)
Cont. Possie 66 (2nd)
Unco. Possie 71 (2nd)
I50's 24 (2nd)

is Nathan Fyfe the Avatar"

Edit: beat me to it valkorum

- 1st Possessions - Pav is 1st/Sandilands is 5th
- Inside 50s - Hill is =2nd/Fyfe is =5th/Pavlich is =7th/Sandilands & Mundy =10th
- Clearances - Sandialnds is 4th/Pavlich is 6th
- Tackles - Mayne is 8th/Palmer is =14th
- Contested Possessions - Pavlich is =4th/Fyfe is =8th
- Rebound 50s - Duffield is 1st
- 1%ers (spoils/bumps/sheppards etc.) - Grover is =7th/Mundy is =11th

Interesting stuff there - I know it's not a stats game but those are some pretty staggering stats (especially in relation to who is getting the ball out of a contest and who is getting it inside 50)

Is this for the league or the team?

Hey guys sorry to intrude on your board, but I was wondering what is going on with Pav's goal output this season. Is he likely to spend the majority of the season in the mids or is he likely to move back to the HF position soon? Will Barlow's return make this more likely? I don't get much opportunity to watch Freo games in Sydney but it seems he has spent every game so far in the centre. Also what has happened to his goal kicking? 1.8 for the year?

I ask because I backed him to be Freo's lead goal kicker this year and wanted to see what you guys think his chances are, and who are his main rivals? I know it's early in the season and anything can happen but what are your thoughts on your leading goal kicker this year? Thanks in advance.

Pav is needed in the midfield with Barlow/Morabito out injured and his clearance/inside 50 work is impecable

If we did put him in the forward line, our inside 50/clearance stats will drop and there would be one extra forward 50 target (given Mayne, McPhee and Bradley are our main marking targets) so basically less ball going in to the forward 50 to more targets

The only criticism I have of Pavlich's games at the moment is that he isn't scoring running goals from the midfield which were so breathtaking last year but we are still winning 80% of our games so I'm not too fussed :)
