Got yourselves some kind of footballer here. Not sure if he's a regular 30-possession player but he'll get 20 and rip sides apart. A belter.

My favourite player in the AFL...it's going to be a joy these next 10 years!

100% correct

Hes not the accumulator type, the guy who runs behind a player to pick up cheap possesions to add to his tally.
Will be the type that gets 15+ but will be very damaging an exciting to watch.

Already my favourite player just about ever. So so glad the club had the guts to pick him over Rich. Not that he's necessarily better, I just love watching him.

he will still take a few years to reach his best.. though I'm slowly seeing why we took him. Great skills.

Thanks. Good to see other teams supporters appreciating our young talent. Am looking forward to see just how he develops. Lots of other youngsters also to watch. Exciting times at Freo Yay!!

2nd efforts and chase downs are excellent, and we all noticed here that he puts polish on his efforts. Important player going forward.

TBH, I didn't really notice him today. The times I did though, he was excellent. I still prefer him over Natanui. I know people may think that is a biased/stupid comment, but I thought this before Hill even played his first game.

Happy to be corrected but when i was watching it seemed he was shutting down Anthony from the Kangas and did a great job keeping to half his usual output and damaging when getting the ball himself...

didnt have a great game last week but seemed much better today..a few more pre-seasons under his belt and lookout

I think you're probably right. The coaching staff have been experimenting with different roles for some of the players and see how they go. It's all good experience, but I don't think it's anything new to Hill. I think he played a number of run with roles in the state 18's.

I think one of the most exciting things about Hill is that every single deficiency in his game can be cured through experience. He has all the necessary tools that you cannot teach to become an absolute gun

Imagine how good he'd be if he could run?

Some kind of attempt at wit?

I'm with NorthBhoyon a bit on this, maybe someone who has seen a bit of him can elaborate.

he's been touted for his speed but he's not a typical speedster like a woczinski (sp?), he seems to lope a bit. Not explosive out of the blocks, maybe it's deceiving speed, I've only seen him live twice and they were horror outings so it was difficult to tell.

He thinks quickly enough.

The quickest athletes are the ones reach top speed with what appears to be the minimum amount of effort.
It is that very tecnique that can give the impression of loping. What it is, in fact, is the perfect natural running motion.

Check out Usain Bolt's action for confirmation.

Hill is very quick, be in no doubt.

Actually, he is super explosive out of the blocks. Just look at the grand final sprint, he destroyed the other players within the first 20/25m (pack bursting speed) He has such a natural running style.

Freo's recruiting has been very, very good over the past 2 or 3 years. To the point now that you just expect your rookies to be good players.

He looked pretty explosive out of the blocks when he burst away from the pack in the backline in the final minutes yesterday.

Pretty sure NorthBoy was taking the piss (hope so anyway).
