Any thoughts on his progress ? will he still be around in 2008 and will he get a game in 2007?

I put him in the same boat as Varcoe last season, given the limited pre-season both had coming into their debut years. Granted, Dopey showed significantly less (spurts or not) than Trav, but I felt the calls for a delisting after one injury interrupted rookie season were uncalled for.
That said, Dopey really needs to put everything together and show something at VFL level this season (given our stocks and his presumed development, AFL seems out of the question this year). He's played predominantly in the forward line for much of his junior career, and I think that's where we're best suited playing him for the majority of the time. Tudor will want to give him his defensive bread and butter lesson down back (like everyone else), and a run through the middle will probably be on cue every now and then (given the preference to play all our tall stocks up forward - perhaps not so much this year though), but he needs to settle into some sort of role up forward. Given his knack for the goals, a specialist crumber role wouldn't be out of the equation, but a role as a leading forward may suit.

hard to fool the club when they are given medical reports on the players ... aren't they?
If it is only diagnosed by your local doctor and they keep it hush hush than how are you going to find out?

How come he tested so well at the draft camp then? And if the club didn't do their own medical checks then they have been negligent in their duty.

I'm sure all players invited to Draft Camp all go through a very tough medical before they arrive to the camp by the AIS doctors and any problems all AFL clubs are notified.
When did he get first show signs of OP ? Hid he have OP when he arrived at the cats or did he develop OP after stepping up to from TAC training to full on AFL training?
You can't hide OP at any level of footy, so think some of you are harsh on Owen saying he hide his OP.
I have a feeling he will be one of the first delisted at years end.
That may be the case, all i'm saying is let's give him a chance to show what he's got. after all Charlie, Playfair are still there and what have they shown?
