Im sure its a nice to be able to have quality players like Powell playing 2nds and you still have the depth to cover him.

I wonder what that is like :confused:

Its a good feeling but nothing ever will remain great.

Thats why we have to work hard, and hope the best with injuries.

It was his first game back and he only played a half of footy, or was that the week before? He should have been ok to play this week but he must need another week at springvale.
 
He played the second half against Williamstown and then a full game against Bendigo. He seems to have come through unscathed. Unfortunately the Scorpions have a bye this weekend. I haven't seen the VFL reserves fixture but if they are playing it will be interesting to see if the likes of Powell, Montagna, Gram, McGough, Blake and Ferguson have a run around for them.

These are the kind of players we need pushing for senior selection.
 
Can any one tell me if he will be back this week. Something strange seems to be going on, he has been a star for us the last two years. I live in QLD and miss a lot of the talk so I am a bit in the dark. You would think with all the injuries we have he would be brought back against the Eagles, but I have seen no news on him coming back at all.....a bit concerning, can anyone provide an update?
 
with a full team, would he get a game? i don't know if he or schwarze is in our best 22! he's good, and its great that we have the depth that if we have injuries we can play him. but with our full strength side i don't think he would get a game
 
In 2003 he was #3 in B&F last year he played 20 games & 2 finals, so I would definately rate him in our best side, hes a tough mid fielder and we are so far from our best side I would have thought he would be a walk up starter for this game. Which is why I think there is more going on....
 
He would have been very handy in the last quarter against Geelong when our midfield utterly capitulated at centre bounces. He would have allowed Ling to get his hands on it every single time like the red-top was able to.

I watched Powell play in the Springvale 2's last week.

He appeared extremely underdone and I would have thought he's at least 3-4 weeks off being considered for the Seniors.

Fitness is probably his best strength and he just doesn't have any ATM
