Got a few who wouldn't look out of place on the senior list, however there's no point promoting someone unless you plan to use them straight away.

We're better placed to sit back and access how our lists looks over the next month, then make a decision.

Don't want to commit ourselves too early.

I like the look of Garth, but he's behind guys like Gardiner and Haynes. Have to try those two before we look at the rookies.

i was told the spoke to the football manager today on sen and they are having a meeting tomorrow to decide on who to promote and it looks like being garth and possible sheringham. I would have garth in the side ahead of haynes also.

Are we ready to play the promoted rookie?.If not why promote him. To my thinking, lets wait and assess by need if Gardnier, Haynes etc fall over then perhaps Garth, If Milburn and Enright fall over perhaps Buckland,If we have a run on our on ball division Sheringham or the Single man.

I've sung Garth's praises, but to say he's ahead of either Haynes or Gardiner is pure folly.

Buckland would have to be a logical replacement for Wojcinski as he's probably the most ready, and, more to the point, direct replacement that we have. I think that he would relish the faith placed in him in being promoted to the senior list even if he didn't get a game but the only worry about him is his size. He would, however, be reasonable cover and should be promoted.

I'm Bucky's biggest fan, however you don't need to promote him now for him to be cover.

We've got replacements for Wojcinski already on the senior list, if they don't work out or we get a rash of injuries, we can upgrade Bucky at anytime.

Why commit when we don't need to? Wait until there is a genuine need and then make the move.

Agree, no rush. The wise thing to do is wait and see what unfolds. More injuries may come and depending on if and in what positions they happen, we can go from there. Right now, there are probably at least half a dozen players who could get a senior game before needing to touch the rookies.

you have a fair point, but i wouldnt have garth ahead of gardiner whom i rate very highly but i dont think we are going to go anywhere with a player like haynes in the side. i dont see him as anymore than a fringe player and cant see him improving whereas garth i see as someone who has a heap of potential and could possibly become a top player for us and the senior experience would do him alot of good and its not like he doesnt have the body for afl already.

Buckland is horrible. Simply horrible. Seen him play many times and how he got a spot on your rookie list is still beyond me.

This coming from a guy whose club has Ben Holland and Alistair Nicholson as senior listed players.

Did they delist Nathan Carroll last year ?

Don't talk to me about big fellas Jubby - Spinks and Mitchell White do spring to mind.

Dutchy kicked 20 odd goals last year, Nicho was okay down back. Neither are stars, but serve their purpose. We won't see much of them this year though.

Doesn't change the fact Buckland is crap.
