The rate of steroid usage in Australia is astonishing. Australians are easily the most geared up people in the world. I would say today it is the most commonly used illegal drug in Australia. Sometimes you really can’t tell who is on and who is isn’t. Some people just want to get big BRO, others use it for aesthetic purposes while many are on it for athletic performances, it is rampant in amateur sports, even in the lowest amateur divisions. It is clearly used and abused by policemen, military personal, firefighters and bouncers.

As an individual who is well aware with science behind anabolics and its effects, I’m the verge of using them for my own safety. Knowing there are hundreds if not thousands men out there who are bigger, faster and stronger than me because of oils and orals, makes me very uncomfortable. You cannot even play casual indoor football or soccer or enjoy night out on the town without having to worry about their grilled up gorillas. The advantage they have over natural and regular people is dangerous honestly. I’ve reached a point, if you cannot beat them, join them mentality.

What are your thoughts on AAS and its usage in Australia? Anyone here used before or know anyone who has?

About to get swole bro

Worked with quite a few guys that used it. Its usually a phase though and they get over it. It's very common with middle aged guys who are trying to recapture their youth.

I don't really get it though. I've been a regular gym goer but never a body builder. I don't see why the average joe wants to be huge. From what my female friends have told me it is a turn off to a lot of women and it's not like you will be fighting anyone unless it's your job or you go out there looking for it.

Seriously though, most users are meatheads who are easily outsmarted in most situations. If however, you must get physical (eg. You work as a bouncer) learn a martial art. Most good ones teach you how to use your opponent's size against them.

Actually no, I wouldn’t say most users these days are actually meatheads. There’s a lot of guys who use just to get bigger without having to be associated with the real meatheads. Like that random guy at the club or uni or at your footy club that is 100kg of solid mass without looking “aesthetic” or a proper bber is probably using. A lot of the users don’t want to become Bbers but just put on mass. This stuff will put a proper 10-20kg onto your frame if used properly, even if used poorly easy 10kg of mass is attainable in such a short time

It’s a cycle, Zyzz woke up the masses. Bodybuilding and steroids was always a sub culture that was frown upon, until an internet geek hoped on within 6 months of training and showed the world is power. Once other guys are trying to one up you especially when it comes to self-defence, performance and for the ladies, it is only a matter of time until guys catch up and try to even the playing field.

I will say A LOT more guys are on it and have used it than you think. It just only a few actually look pleasuring, while most are huge bloated mass. But even so, they are automatically bigger and stronger, so yes, you safety is at risk,

Thier women like to cheat with men not on steroids. Just dont get caught.

Gym attendance is a positive activity that can bring with it health and wellbeing benefits that extend across the lifespan. It’s great for the metabolism, bone density, and blood pressure, but these factors are entirely unrelated to why the male bogan joins the gym. He’s there to get HUGE. The bogan, with his poor coping skills and tendency to act impulsively, identifies the need to become the largest gladiator in the nightclub, both to catch the eye of the female bogan, and to become physically dominant over the other males. As with many other aspects of his life, he exhibits no subtlety or moderation; he craves the extreme.

At the gym, the male bogan can generally be found near a mirror, dramatically swinging the largest dumbells he can pick up. Rather than working on his entire physique, the bogan exclusively targets the parts of the body that can protrude from a tight Ed Hardy t-shirt, creating an odd sense of proportion. As a result, he can always be seen working out in a skimpy singlet, but loose pants.

The bogan’s inability to resist an impossibly good shortcut will sometimes lead him to getting on the ‘roids, which speed up the process of getting huge, and reduce the amount of work required. The downsides, such as erectile dysfunction, testicular atrophy, paranoia, and increased aggression are dismissed. Once the bogan achieves a large size in the chest and biceps, he is then ready to apply his Ed Hardy and head to the nightclub with his boys. Normally, someone that got this large would consider getting serious about bodybuilding, but the dieting, lower body work, and discipline required to earn a bodybuilder’s lean physique are sacrifices a bogan is unwilling to make. Besides, if he can’t instigate drunken brawls and then wolf down a souvlaki in a popular nightclub district, what’s the point of getting huge in the first place?

Seriously? That's your poster boy?

The bloke died from said "lifestyle".

Where is the stat that says Aussies are the most geared up in the world? ?
This is from my general observation. I have been to Europe, USA, Canada and parts of Asia. And without doubt Australian males were the biggest males I have come across and we have more built roid heads than anywhere else. We live in an aggressive nation, drunken nation, two most popular sports are rifle with AAS, gym in nearly every corner and with the get big culture, and Australians are comfortably the biggest user. Only maybe Americans come close.

I highly doubt Australia is the highest steroid user. Steroids are rampant in Eastern European countries like Russia, Poland, Belarus, Ukraine and also pretty popular in a lot of Arab countries.

Learn BJJ, take the fights to the ground and utilise the rear naked chokehold. Ground and pound.

This is one of the worst pieces of advice i have ever read.

In a streetfight your absolute best strategy is hitting first repeatedly and preferably when theyre not ready for it whilst using a weapon.

And having a few mates going the king hit.
