He said Judd did have a MINOR setback around Christmas time, which occurred when he got a bit impatient and pushed his running, but has been fine since then.

Did the full training in SA on Friday, his first so far and pulled up a bit sore, but nothing that wasn't expected.

As Thylacine said, still on track for 3rd round of NAB cup/challenge games, and for round 1 of the season.

He said that recent comments by Judd about "I may never play again......not sure when I will play" were flippant as he is sick and tired of being asked at every interview about his groin.

The first training session back here will tell us whether this is spin or not.

Lets hope we see him training around 90% minimum.:thumbsu:

Thanks for the report Bluebear. I wonder what all of the Carlton haters will say about Judd now. More Carlton spin I would assume.

It has become such a non-story that JeffDunne & The Fireman have turned the thread about Judd on the main board into another troll-fest about cheating, tanking etc because they have nothing else.

I think this whole Judd thing has been blown way out of proportion.

When he had the operation, he knew, the surgoen knew, and then the football world was told that it would take 4-6 months to get back to full fitness. Currently we are at 4&1/2 months.

Judd himself is frustrated at the slowness of recovery, but not at the actually recovery, but the slowness in which he isn't able to train at full pace which is what he wants to be able to do as that is what he does best, it is his trade afterall.

Its like looking at a xmas gift under the tree but having to wait until xmas morning to open it.

The one good thing about all this is that Carlton are still in the media, they are getting our brand out there, which is good for marketing and sponsors.

The other thing, let the other clubs think Judd isn't right, it just means they underrate Judd and Carlton....then bang!!!

Judd is on or near-to-on schedule. The schedule was always long. This is no cause for alarm.

We should all still be naming our children "Judd", getting "JUDDY5" license plates and preparing ourselves to hear "Carlton, C. Judd, 3 votes" a lot.

The Footy Gods know we've heard enough of "West Coast v Carlton, West Coast, C.Judd, 3 votes".

From the Blueseum

How true, and how long has it been since a Blue was in the top 10 of the Brownlow or got near 20 votes - Kouta and Ratten in 1999 or 2000?
