After another big bag of six, SJ is currently sitting equal third on the goal kicking list with 25, only four goals behind Matthew Pavlich who is leading the way with 29. A very realistic chance to add to his medal collection this year.

Mooney also deserves a mention on 18, as does the JPod who has currently racked up 17 from limited opportunities.

Watch this space! :D

He sure can win it.

Although I am just waiting for an injury....

I am sure he will be rested soon due to his past history of injuries, and wouldnt be suprised if he was rested late in the season too.

A chance, although with our 'share it around' nature of our forward line I reckon someone else from another club will win it.

Gee he looks great, I hope he can stay injury free all year. :thumbsu:

Our forward line is functioning beautifully. I think that mooney jPod and SJ will break 50 and Byrnes, Ablett, Chapman and Hawkins are all good for two a game.

We are scary good this year. I am just happy we don't have to play ourselves.

as i recall afte the carlton game, alot of our bigfooty member posters where saying "drop" steve johnson, out of form and doesnt deserve his place,
some people must feel thankful for the ability to go back and edit posts, to errase stupidity in the heat of moments.

I thought at the time that he was taking the piss a bit with his workrate and should have realyl knuckled down but hey, he turned it around and good on him or perhaps he never turned it around and he just started getting away with the way he does things again.

I would be very surprised if SJ wins the Coleman - for one thing, you can be sure he'll be rested at least once or twice, and as well as that you can count on the goals being shared around. He might have six this week and two next week and the week after, with someone else bobbing up for four or five. It'd be nice if we did get up, but I don't think it'll happen.

Correct me if I am wrong, but wasnt gary Ablett Snr our last coleman medal winner in 95? Thats quite a while now. Would be nice to have another one to add to the Cats growing list of awards.

problem is, you know also that brown fevola pavlich franklin etc are going to hit big purple patches at some stage and string together games of 7,8 goals... i dont think johnson can do this and keep with the pack the way geelong structures their scoring
