The big forwards in there together, creating opportunity for smalls, we got to have the talls to match our number of smalls.
Support will always build a players' confidence.
Thought Taylor Hunt looked at home even though he hadn't played seniors for a while.

Into fourth in the Coleman Medal.

I think the lesson we have to learn against the best sides is that we need to play through Podsiadly and Mooney when going long, and Johnson can crumb. Or hit Johnson on the short lead. They are his strengths. Last week we were relying on him taking contested marks against O'Brien which just doesn't happen.

He's not an especially great mark full stop these days.

Very few he takes are one grabbers.

Surely he'd be a certainty

Statistically he's a strong chance, especially if he bags another 7 or 8 in the next two games. But if the selectors were to break his year down into parts, they'd find he has been influential in less games than his stats suggest. Took a long while to warm up and missed 3(?) games through suspension.

This was in 8 games, 8 moments on AFL site. Summed our star Stevie J up perfectly:

4. Geelong 25.11 (161) d Western Bulldogs 9.6 (60)

The moment: Steve Johnson was in flashy five-goal form on Saturday night, meaning he did his best to make the easy look as difficult as possible. Early in the second term, the ball floated in and conked Johnson clean on the scone before he grabbed it, composed himself, avoided the oncoming clutches of Bulldog Liam Picken, pivoted and booted a beauty.

Didn't he pass it to Varcoe?

Big game as well this week for Stevey J he will have Jordan Russell on him and he has touched him up last couple of times. Even though he wasnt the only one.

Time for some pay back i feel.

Damn that AFL website!!:thumbsd:

Loved the "make the easy look difficult bit", so him and so much why he can tear apart an opposition cos they dont know what he is gonna do. And even after he stuffs it up, he can still get the goal, or the assist.
