Could you supply a better anaysis than 'useless'.

Ok. His best is behind him but I may as well tell you about his best.
He is a ruckman and probably strictly a ruckman only. Has played one good game at CHB and solid games in the forward line for Willy but thats it. He can not jump. He does not win any hitouts. He is a good around the ground ruckman and is good at being in the right place at the right time. Solid skills barely makes a mistake skill wise. Pretty good clearence skills. Slow as anything but makes space. Changes in ruck rules really hurt him. Still could be good but his better years are behind him. A great game from McKee is a 15 odd possesion game with around 10 marks while negating the effect of his oponent. Thats all he can do it the ruck contest, negate the effectiveness of his foe's tap. Strong mark. Although he sounds good, unless you have a midfield who are brilliant at sharking the tap and clearing it he can hurt your own side alot.

If he goes to Richmond wouldn't he be mostly playing down at Coburg?

Back up for Stafford which looks on his last legs and is injury prone.

However Simmonds will be the no.1 ruck.

Hopfully McKee will only be here for 1, 2 seasons or so untill the kids develop to support Simmonds.

Also Stafford is a little accident prone, and might find himself suspended longer, if he keeps at it. So McKee would be a very handy if you guys did go after him.

I would really like to see McKee back in the AFL.

Positives
- Good skills, set shot for goal
- Gets fairly high amount of possessions for a ruckman

Negatives
- Not enough pack marks, especially around half back
- Cannot jump, ruck or win a hit out to save himself which unfortunately is his primary role

With Ottens gone Simmonds should spend a fair time in the forward line.

I think Ploughs style of coaching means Simmonds will be the primary ruck. Rather than a tap ruckman we are going to have a running ruck which gets alot of ball. Yet, im sure Simmo will play forward abit.

Its seem Pattson was drafted for the role.

Before the changes to ruck rules came in he was a very serviceable ruckman. His best game ever was the 2000 Qualifying Final when he took Primus apart. That was in the days when you could just stand there at the centre bounce and negate the other ruckman. It was just painful to watch him play last year because he has absolutely no leap, which means he gets murdered at the centre bounce.
