Just wondering how many of us are going to drop off after the loss against the Cats. This is not the worse belting I have ever sat through nor will it be the last. Hands up who remembers sitting though this gem back in 1990:

Friday Night, 6th April 1990
Richmond 2.1 4.8 6.10 9.14 (68)
Nth Melb 13.3 18.7 24.12 32.17 (209)

Very similar game that one and yet have still proceeded to go to games every year since then so you can say I am think skinned when it come to Richmond playing games like this one. The surprising thing about that game was 3 week later we came out and belted Fitzroy by 79 points so things can turn around quickly. That was also a year we lost the first 4 then proceeded to win 6 of the next 10. Now I am not saying that is going to happen this year but the thing I want to see more than anything else is them showing some heart and playing a great game next 2 weeks in Adelaide otherwise things are going to get very dark and gloomy at Punt Rd if they already aren't.

All in all I will be there against the Bombers in 3 weeks time supporting the team I have through my whole life and will continue to do.

Just thought I would mention one thing to give us some hope. The last time the Cats towelled us up like they did last night we won the following week by 50 points. One can only hope.

Yeah, sincerely good effort at encouraging everyone to think positive RT. All I could add is that the hiding we got from North that you mention is when they were close to, if not the hardest and best side in the land.

Tonight we got pulverised by the handbaggers. :o

Because the years after that night were just an upwards surge.

I dont find too much inspiration from that era. Just bad memories.

But good on your for keeping your chin up.

Richmond would be stuffed without supporters like you.

Ill get there.. Just give me a bit more time.

At least the spineless losers are out of town next round to give us time to recover. It won't be a real Richmond V Essendon since there will only be one footy team and they are no use either as the pies and Hawks have shown but I suppose most will go out of habit. I expect both Essendon and ourselves to lose next 2 rounds and the attendance will be below 50,000.

As long as the bar remains open!!!!

good point. the bar was my saviour last night. and bar 20 afterwards. i'll be goin every week. i dont care if we win or lose or get smashed by 25 goals.
if we wanna be there when we are a contender we have to be there when we're not. theres no way im givin up.

ill be there.....was there last night and was just heart broken!

i was well past angry by quarter time and just sat the and watched the rest of the game with a very dissapointed frame of mind.....i spent all of half time in the cougar bar and probably downed around 4 JD's n coke beforei ran out of spendin money and headed back down to my seats.

Extremely dissapointed but im not going anywhere.

dont bet on that, if we can prove oursleves to be competitive over the next fortnight, our supporters will respect that. I mentioed earlier , there's always a danger of dropping off in the effort stakes when the wins dont come.

I wont be flying out to the SA games, nor will I buy Inside footy, wont watch the footy show, but I wont give up on the tigers:(

I'll be there against the bombers, same seat cheering us on as we salute and close to be only a game off essendons possie on the ladder:D

I was there.

I was also at the game against North.

I will be going this week agaisnt Port.

I will be going the next week agaisnt The Crows.

Why - Because the loyal support of the fans is what this club is all about, if that goes down the gurgler so does the club.

It hurts like hell but what else do we do - turn over and die ? Softies who sit on this board and complain about the team but never actaully go to games are a cancer of the supporter base (Vic/ melb based posters i am talking about).

Mindless Rhetoric? - maybe but i will never stop supporting this club.

I remember that game well. Micheal Mitchell kicked the first goal Punt road end.
I was in the rooms after the game and Neville Crow gave the most stirring speach I have heard to an angry mob of supporters wanting blood. He shut them up very quickly.

The Hardest part about yesterday is the feeling of helplessness.

Yep, I was there. Micthell kicked the first goal of the match, from a long kick that bouned in the square and dribbled through. After that it was horrendous.

thats what its all about. theres no use whinging about it all the time. we cant control how the team performs ont he ground. if people start giving up then we'll be back to where we were in 2004.
the club is moving forward. that may be hard to see atm but they will get there. just a little more patience and it will all pay off.
i love this club. all i want is to see them win a premiership. i dont care if it takes 20 years. i'll support them till the day i die.
