Eddie and STP in the same 2 weeks...huge

anybody got either presale code from Ticketmaster or Frontier, please PM me.

Possibly the best gig I've ever been too.

The fact that the majority of the crowd was over 25yrs old, and had been waiting since the 90's to see them made for an awesome vibe.
Every song become an anthem. Only the newer songs weren't sung along to with gusto.

The pit was fantastic too. No ****wits running about in circles not even watching the band. Everyone fully into what was happening on stage.

Weiland has such a great voice live, and the DeLeo brothers didn't disappoint. Did not miss a beat.

The fact their setlist was absolutely chock full of classics helped. Awesome night.

Did Vedder in Canberra on Tuesday night and STP last night.

Vedder, Weiland in one week :thumbsu::thumbsu::thumbsu:

Gee I wish Chris Cornell was here next week.

Thought SW looked in good shape, didn't seem too thin, voice was fantastic.

Both were great, but give the points to STP. Vedder's voice is sensational, his guitar playing better than I expected, but without the rest of PJ just seems to lack the urgency that makes them so great as a whole.

Big thumbs up to Festival Hall as a venue :thumbsu:

It's dark, dirty, slimy and mean. Just like a concert venue should be.

Makes those arena spectaculars look as pompous as they are. Do yourself a favour young'uns, go and see a band like STP and feel it.

You would never listen to Usher again :D

Flying up to Brisbane Wednseday to see them @ the Riverstage ... thanks for the mail :thumbsu:

Been hugely anticipating this for many years .

thought the concert was good but a few things disapointed me.

- sat in the balcony for the first time and the mix from where i was sitting was pretty bad until half way through.

- first time visit from them and they only play one song for the encore  and no sour girl

it was a really typical gig in australia with 95% of the crowd never hearing their new stuff before

Yeah, brilliant show. Had only been a big fan of their first three albums, but have been belting No.4 relentlessly since Sat night.

Would've loved them to play Army Ants and Seven Caged Tigers, but totally satisfying nonetheless. Great to see them right up close from the front of the pit at long last.

I'm not sure how that makes the gig typically Australian. It probably has more to do with the new stuff being weak in comparison.

I stood next to a guy before they started and he was telling me the new album was their best, and I almost laughed.

Mind you, he wasn't half as bad as the two tools I got stuck near, who were getting into Grinspoon, and serenading anyone around them while Chemical heart was playing. Talk about cringe worthy.
