Solly gone for 2 weeks - what did they expect? They should have taken the 1 on offer and moved on. (or better still, Solly could pull his head in and stop drawing attention to himself).

The only positive is it's 2 spots that need to be filled with a bit of youth this week.

I agree, he should've accepted the 2 weeks. Now he's out for two crucial games...bloody hell :(

watching the footage, although it was clearly accidental he still hit him head high. It was always going to fail.

It's done now. Hopefully Webster gets a couple of games while he's out.

:( wombat, I didn't see any of the East Perth game, but I assume Webster went ok, however, I've got to say I'd be pretty disappointed to see him out there on Saturday ahead of Mayne/Ibbotson/Palmer.

Maybe not - by my records somebody at the AFL's ****ed up the carry over points tally and it should be reduced to one if anyone at Freo picks up the error

Can you email Schwabby or Robert Shaw for us and let them know?

It's probably in Port's best interests that we knock over the eagles.

this is what i hate about the tribunal.
1 week if he didnt challenge?
decided to challenge so now its 2.
It was in the play an it was a bump that accidently hit high.
Accidental contact

Now we saw some extremely low acts in the carlton richmond game with guys being king hit an 1 knocked out all behind play.
Carlton an richmond player were given 2 weeks only.
The richmond player hitting the carlton player had no real footage.
Few minuites later same richmond player is running past carlton player who sees him coming and lands a full blooded punch to the head knocking him out.
Clearly intentional, not in the play an its only 2 weeks.

I can understand that. If it was type for type then Webster would come in though. They both play a similar role.

For mine Ibbo is the priority at this stage.

Can anyone explain what the difference is between Sollys' bump on Wakelin and Roccas' on Tarrant?

They both stepped over the ball to lay a bump on the opposition player, nobody was injured yet only one was cited.

My impression of the tribunal is that they are unpredictable, unaccountable and give every impression that they are making shit up as they go along. Remember when Cookie got suspended and we didn't challenge - the AFL basically told us we should have challenged in that instance.

I'm amazed that the carlton player only got two weeks for coat hangering a guy miles away from the ball. But then the tribunal pay no mind to precedent so it doesn't matter to them.
God help the player who runs foul of the latest "crack-down" though.

Blessing in disguise.

We know that Solly can cut the mustard and will be back in round four.

This give us a chance to play Ibbo /Mayne / Palmer in the same team as the blokes that are under the pump and compare apples with apples against the same opposition team.
