Roast Stories that Papers don't write about

Haha, should be a toast, not a roast Dave.

I don't think it is reasonable to expect this is news worthy to anyone other than Collingwood. But good on Collingwood to make a video about it, really enjoy these.

Was a Roast at the Media not the Club.

Not sure about papers but I did see it on Channel 9 News last night

Well the TV News are not too bad with that stuff. They do get a Mention on at least 1 TV News

It's not in the papers because all clubs do it regularly and you would just clog the newspaper covering them all

And bottom line they put what sells in the paper.. there is no heroic social crusade in journalism anymore.. if there ever was

Love this photo of Trav receiving some kicking accuracy tips from a youngster.

Far out Armstrong has an almighty gaze. Felt like he was staring into my soul and judging me.

He wasn't "judging" you, he was "guiding" you.

(You just need to believe in yourself!)

I've got a good one too.

A friend of my family died from cancer recently after battling with it for just over a year. All the way through his chemo Heath Shaw sat with him and helped him get through it. Unfortunately due to moving to Sydney to play football he could not attend the funeral, so Heath asked Swanny and a few of the other boys to attend in his place to show his respects. Dane, Sinclair and a few others attended the funeral even though they had never met the person.

I can't really put into words how proud that made me and how much it meant to the family.

Thanks for relaying that. After all the BS we have to put up with in the media, and endless nonsense about Bucks and the playing group, to hear that is very uplifting. I hope it gave your family friend some enjoyment. It does make you proud to be a Pie fan. Heater is a decent guy, he will be missed at the club.

That's what is wrong with the media these days. Instead of genuine human interest stories they focus on the downside of everything like the drugs saga and players getting out on the piss. More of these stories would make the world a happier place.

However it's also pretty boring, if it's not your team.
