No problem. Dogs this week. Daniher loves playing against the Dogs.

Heh to be honest I can't remember his form against you guys. But he's looking very dodgy atm. No confidence.

Stringer has a lot of problems but the primary one is that he just does not understand team structure or system. Early in his career when opposition defenders didn't sit in front of him he was able to lead, turn and have space down the corridor. Teams adjusted quickly to that and nobody falls for his double leads anymore because it's the only thing he knows. Nowadays as a forward they sit in front of him so he either gets into a tussle or runs hard against the flank where opponents are happy to give him space.

In the midfield there are simply too many moving parts and too many responsibilities. He gets extremely lost both offensively and defensively.

The fitness and application are secondary problems; if Stringer's ever going to get back to good footy, a coach needs to devise a plan to simplify the game for him. Or teach him to mark the football and absorb contact.

True. Their squib captain is a more pressing concern. His softness infects the entire playing group. They were bullied by kids last night.

Is it true you need to be able to type this is order to post on the north board?

What is the fascination between a lot of players in playing in the midfield? What’s wrong with just focusing to play as a forward and trying to become an elite one? He’d be better served trying to do that.

At Essendon we’ve long been experts with moving players out of their natural position with poor results. This proud tradition is continuing with Stringer.

I agree on this. Plonk him inside 50 and let him have a go. Feel kind of sorry for him as the club has put the pressure on him to be our midfield saviour
