I think Stringer in a couple of years will be awesome (seeing the way he has recovered from his broken leg gives me hope that Gary Rohan will still have a great career)

If I had to choose I'd take Wines because there's no risk. You know he can make it as an AFL midfielder. However, my gut says Stringer will be better. He's a classy unit.

Stringer for me, once he has two or three pre-seasons he will be ready to go. Wines is a gun too though.

I think the obvious answer is Stringer has the potential to be better, but Wines is the safe pick (who still has the potential to be very very good too though), which has been said by pretty much everyone so far. My only worry on Stringer was if he could get his explosiveness back after his leg injury and he showed signs on the weekend that he still has it so that is very very promising.

Stringer has a bit more x-factor about him, but Wines will be far more consistent. To classify him as purely an inside mid is a bit of an injustice, is averaging nearly 5 marks a game, and has shown real skill in reading the play and being involved in attacking passages. As a Port fan I'd take Wines, but can certainly understand the Doggies fans preferring Stringer.

Wines is a smooth mover two great pick ups, stringer needs another pre season.
