What a change from last week, all the things I was critical of last week they excelled in this week and what a difference it makes, i hope to hell we don't revert back to the other style next week because this week was exactly how i wanted them to play and what i have been saying for 3 weeks.

Finally Pagan backed the defence to win there positions and allowed the midfielders and even the half backs to push forward and attack, and the half forwards where allowed to play forward instead of pushing back and leaving 2-3 on one in the forward line and surprise surprise it worked a treat.

The senior boys stood up this week after a couple of really bad weeks and when this happens it gives the young boys the confidence to play attacking hard football and it payed huge dividends, with the young boys knowing exactly what to do, with a forward structure to play to they ran hard tackled like men possessed and kicked with confidence, they knew when to play off there man and find space, which Bentick did so well, and when to man up and tackle.
It's amazing what can happen when there is leadership shown by the club leaders and yesterday we had this in abundance with Stevens, Scotland and Houlihan showing the young midfielders how it is done between the arcs, Lance and Thornton leading the defencive youngsters with aplomb and last but certainly not least the big Fevelinko leading the forward line to victory, ah the sweet smell of Victory how sweet it is.

If we can keep the Structure in place that we showed yesterday and the senior players continue to lead by example we will see a lot more wins this year, and the young tyros will feed off this leadership and go forward in leaps and bounds instead of floundering in the mire of the substandard performances and shoddy leadership and structure of the past few weeks. Our future looks bright when the youngens are given the freedom and confidence to play there natural games and show the abundance of natural ability that is inside so many of our young boys and it is up to the coaches and the senior listed players to bring this out in them by giving them the support and game plan to win games. They are the future they just need to be shown the path to glory and premiership success and they will take us back to the top where we belong.

Sticks showed the value of having the champions of the past around the club with his stirring and inspirational, by all accounts, speech to the boys on Friday. A lot of these boys we must remember are to young to even remember the glory of 1995 let alone our halcion days of the 70's and 80's so there passion has to be ignited by the players from those eras the ones that have bled and hurt for the club the ones that live and breath the Old Dark Navy Blue, Dennis can teach them the fundamentals of football but only people that have bled for the club can teach them to love and cherish the jumper on there backs and unfortunately these old champions are few and far between at Carlton these days something that needs to be rectified immedietly.:thumbsu:

Go the Mosquito Fleet, there back!!!!!!!!!!!!!:D :thumbsu:
