• Cochrane looks a step above
• we’ve clearly embraced the transition game at this level also but don’t have the talent so teams will hem us in regularly
• our mids just don’t dominate like they should
• I’d give Barrett a run on ball, looks a tad lost
• backline actually looks a bit more organised and functional

Jackson has failed to come on. Hoping Lorenz can continue to develop his game.

He showed some x-factor in his highlights, but most do. He hasn't shown anything remotely impressive that I can remember in over a year on our list.

Yep, looks like him and Anastas are just going to spend two years as deadwood. Those are the late picks we should be trying to develop key defenders with, not piling more shit into the already threadbare (in 2023) small forward department.

Terrible list management when the next year we spend a whole offseason bolstering the small forward line anyway.

Agree. 11 possessions though with 4 goals as a forward partway through the third is very good going. To kick three bags in three weeks against different SANFL opposition is very impressive. I can't remember another Magpies player (tall or small) doing this in a very, very, very long time.
