A week ago most here had no idea about us going after Cousins.

After tomorrows draft we most likely will know that we won't have him.

Never had him so never lost him.

Time to move on if this happens.

Will make the AGM on thursday interesting.

very well said Peejay. i'll put it on record that i want cousins at the club and am still holding out hope that we're picking him tomorrow.

but i really dont' understand why so many people are so angry now.

i mean, last week, before this whole polak saga started, when we had stated that we weren't interested in cousins and that we're not gonna pick him up, no one really cared....people happily went about their business, getting excited about the new draftees.

and now, nothing has really changed compared to last week. we still only have pick 6. so why the need to get so angry all of a sudden when there was no anger last week.

really don't understand these people

That's exactly how I feel peggles.

I would be happy if we gave Cousins a shot but nothing has changed and there is no reason for all this anger imo.

I'll tell you exactly what it is....It is Richmond.

We have been starved of success and a lot of our supporters will try and cling on to any little hope that might give us a chance of being a force again. A lot of these people have been through the golden era and seen the club at its highest and they find it difficult to look at the club when it is down (even though some of us would look at the club and see that a solid foundation is now in place). These people want success and they want it NOW.

The reaction by some of our 'supporters' has been way over the top. I mean throwing away memberships?!?! (have they even got their cards for 2009 yet?!?)

Pretty bloody accurate post.

ROFL yeah I had a chuckle about that as well.

Must really hurt throwing the 2008 membership cards away. :D

Sorry to intrude Tiger folks, but this is a defining moment for Richmond to stand up and show DimWit and his mates what footy is about. As we all know there are 7 known druggies playing footy, but because of 'injunctions' the AFL decide to do nothing about it. Ben has never been found guilty of anything. He came clean and admitted all and the time is right for the old champions to stand up to the AFL goons who are into media spin in a big way.
Richmond were a force and can now stand up be strong again. If you want Ben, get him and tell the AFL to f..k off

I'll move on tomorrow once its all over.

But for now I'm still pissed off. You can't just dangle Cuz in front of us then expect us to be fine with it when you take him away!

God help Kade Klemke, David Gourdis or any other player we may pick with pick 6 tomorrow if it isn't Cousins. Considering how hard it is for these kids to even get on a list, they will now have contend with some Richmond fans out there blaming them for us not getting Cousins. Hopefully they will show them that they are worth it.

Oh god no, you are so right.
