News Suckling Ruptures ACL

"Scans today confirmed the opinion of Club medical staff that Hawks defender Matt Suckling hasruptured the anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) in his right knee and will require a reconstruction.​

Suckling will consult with a specialist in coming days and will undergo a traditional knee reconstruction.​

​

Scans also showed he sustained little additional damage to the knee so the Hawks defender can expect a good outcome from reconstructive surgery and a solid rehabilitation program."​

Actually I retract my comment. I thought you meant that in semi-good humour but reading your spam on multiple threads re. this and your comment regarding karma for Sydney in relation to a different injury, that's bloody low.

Gutted for Hawks fans, and its also a massive loss for the AFL as a whole as he's one of my favourites to watch and I'm sure many others feel the same. Nothing worse than this sort of injury during preseason, hope it's a speedy recovery.

Terrible news, his left foot is going to be missed this year, especially as he seemed likely to play more midfield meaning that low flat stab pass was going to be hitting buddy and the boys up front on the chest.

Hope the surgery and recovery go well and he comes back bigger and better next year. On a positive, there are no shortage of guys to help him out with what needs to be done to get back
