Suit for formal

I've got a formal coming up next friday and i need to buy a suit. Are there any good stores in Melbourne with quality suits at farily cheap prices (approx b/w $300 and $400).

Peter Jackson - for that price you might be able to pick up a $500-$700 suit with all the sales they have on, and get one with the right cut as the staff tend to be pretty good on that front.

Avoid suburban menswear (Menzmode, Hizz, Casual Guy etc etc) stores like the plague.

Defiantly Peter Jackson and Roger David have some pretty sweet suits in better your price barrier

And got a good deal, 100 bucks plus 40 bucks bond (shirt, tie, jacket and pants)

Exactly - $500 for a suit that you will wear once? Give me a break.

For my Yr 12 formal I got a suit from Roger David and looked pretty sharp for a modest price (around $400). I got some pretty good value out of it and it served me well as a business suit in my part time jobs the next year at uni. So unless you're planning on becoming a labourer, you can get good wear out of a formal suit
