May as well get this started as clubs out of contention start looking for players early.

Obviously rumours only at this stage but hey, they're always good for a laugh.

I wonder how much impact the World Cup will have on the market? If players perform well/poorly etc etc.

Influencing on players that clubs are already looking at?

Or players not considered that have a good tournament?
Would be both, I remember when we bought Diouf  on the back of an outstanding WC.

Liking the sounds of our window so far with Costa and a new LB (Moreno or Rodriguez) being the loudest(talk of another AM as Mou wants 6). Torres seems to have run out of patience and will be off on loan and Lukaku will return.....yay.

Courtois to sign an extension and stay one more year at AM.

Hoping we sign a class CM to play next to Matic.

Sources on Lukaku and Thibaut?
Its all rumours ATM, but everything about Courtous is that he'll sign an extension and stay at AM one more seasons which is apparently what all parties want. Thats what all the leaks and insiders are saying.

Lukaku is just common sense for me (I might have to much faith in Emenalo/Mou). If we sell him without at least giving him a crack I'll be very disappointed.

I've also seen rumours that Courtois will battle with Cech for the spot next season, given Cech's shoulder injury. At worst it might be an idea to have a clause in the loan deal for Thibaut that should Cech have another injury like it, we can recall him.

Where would Torres go? Is it any better off just to terminate the contract and pay him out?

Could always send him on loan to Arsenal ;)
There's rumours of Inter or Atletico wanting him on loan.

So what you're saying is, there are no sources? :D

Both AM and Inter have expressed interest in taking him on loan. Bit of talk too that we could buyout his contract at £10mil.

Not for Lukaku(but the last I heard from Lukaku's mouth on the matter is in my sig), but Courtois has already said his future next season is at either AM or Chelsea depending on what we want to do with him(AM also said they want him on loan for one more season).

Di Marzio who's pretty reliable is saying he'll sign an extension in the next couple of weeks.

Preferences?

I'd like Carvalho but he's more of a DM, Kroos would be nice but I doubt it will happen. Not sure how Herrera has done this season but we almost signed him last window. Shaw or Rodriguez at LB and who really knows at CB. There was talk of Dante a few months back but he wouldn't come and he'd be too old anyway. Reus on the wing would be nice but again, it won't happen. I won't even bother with Cavani or Fabregas.

Surely if Atletico win the league/make the CL final, they should be aiming higher than Torres.

Especially if Costa goes, they'll have some serious coin to spend.

Hardly. They are fairly poor.

It's why they are a selling club.

they're not that poor. they were able to clear a lot of their debts last season. not fantastic, but not dire.

the money they could bring in for a possible champions league/league double would help even further. they're a clever club, they'll find someone to replace costa if he does leave.

Not doing badly for a selling club. Normally I'd agree but they'll have some significant finances coming in on the back of this season.
