Went to Brisbane for the first time over the weekend, and while I ended up going with the partner to the ballet instead of the Asian Cup

How was the ballet? I've never been to Suncorp but what's the public transport access to the ground like? How close are the nearest trains or buses??

Train access is very good, pedestrian overpass direct to Milton Station.

Buses run direct to the ground too, but as stated earlier, are subject to congestion on Coronation Drive and Milton Road.

AS a stadium it is pretty good, just a shame the surface has been a piece of crap for the best part of a decade now. Not sure who is in charge but yet to see a decent surface since the A-League started and what they have served up for the Asian Cup is an absolute disgrace, for a professional stadium no excuse for this, just basic incompetence or cost cutting.

Not true, was voted best by a league players for most years up to 2011 when it got flooded. Since then, been crapola.

Not true, was voted best by a league players for most years up to 2011 when it got flooded. Since then, been crapola.

Might just of been a problem up until then with the ground staff not adjusting properly to the requirements of soccer compared to the rugby codes. Grass needs to be shorter and you water the grass shortly before kick-off to help speed up the passing of the ball so it skids along the surface.

Still it is now 4 years on since then so not a valid excuse for the management of Suncorp to explain such a crap pitch.
