We simply must keep up with them for the whole game, not let them get too far in front, try to give them something to think about, not be intimidated, stay disciplined throughout etc. If this happens then we can sneak up on them during the last qtr for a 15 pt win. Not nervous at all funnily enough, the pressure is mostly on WC, their playing at home and are heavy favourites to beat us comfortably.

Im guessing eagles by 15, hopefully we dont give to many free kicks to the ducks inside their forward 50. Thats what killed us in the game earlier in the year. The crowd will play an improtant factor but i dont think you can really 'shut them up', in a final they will be screaming for any free kick whether there up by 50 or down by 50.

Only way the crowd get taken out of this game is if it is made patently obvious that North are a class above in the first half. That isn't going to happen.

I think a short burst of goals will break the game open for us in the 4th after a tight 3qtrs. Kangas by 21.

The Eagles edge in experience in the midfield and home ground advantage will be the difference.

West Coast by 21.

The current comparison is a bit like North and West Coast in 93. We're not quite ready for them yet, but we will go past them in the next 12-18 months. Certainly when Cox and Kerr hang up the boots.

Totally agree Tef, then there´s the question mark of how quick NN can come to grips of playing the lone soldier for awhile.

I think the smart money said something very similar before the Collingwood game. For a final, especially, I'd rather be optimistic than right - North by 17.

Optimism and hope and a solid tinge of faith in the boys to recapture their form has convinced me that North will win by 14 points.

Honestly I'm hoping for a solid effort to build on our second half of the year as we build to next year. At home, the Eagles are formidable and big Cox could very well tear us another one to add to the 5 other arseholes he has graciously given us previously.

If Goldy can break even then we are a massive chance but that is a massive IF.

Think we'll stay in touch with them for the 1st half and be 9 points down, then get steamrolled by 45+

Yeah, nah, I'm not positive about this one, but I am reading BF for some hope.

We have gone off the boil at the wrong time of the year.

If we can recapture our round 13-16 form, I would expect us to win.

West coast by 49. Too strong. Cox will go bananas again and make us receive his seed like he did in hobart

If we go in with the expectation that a few of our blokes might get rubbed out an take the attack on the ball similar to that of the Geelong and Essendon games - North by 13 points.

Play a more free flowing game and Eagles by 29.

Sunday will show whether the last 2 weeks were deliberately resting up, or just running out of gas. Think it's a combination of the two. Like H2H, would rather be optimistic than right.

Seem to do well after disappointing performances and given no chance this year, so think we might get our second wind this week and cause an upset.
