Sunnyboys are playing The Corner on December 8. I'm a happy man!

I see what you did there !
Great, great band and pretty sad that they are not coming over here to Perth.
Saw them at The Raffles (I think) at their peak and they were something else !!!

In other good news for good old Aussie bands The Saints are coming

Is it the Bailey/Kuepper Saint or Bailey and friends line up?

So who got tickets? I did but know plenty of people that didn't. Sold out in six minutes.

I'm sorted. My better half may have a couple of spares depending on whether her friends take them. If they become available I'll post here.

Got tickets to see them supporting Elvis Costello here in Perth.

Will bring back some great memories !!!!

They were terrific.

It was quite a shock when they walked on stage. When I first saw them, I was 16 and they were young. Now they are all middle aged men with bellies. We have aged almost exactly the same. They were not big on banter, but they played really well. There was only a small group of people that were into them, which was a bit sad as I reckon their legacy should be much greater.

Thought this was worth a bump.

Spewin' I missed the doco, "The Sunnyboy" which played at the MIFF earlier this month. Here's the trailer

BTW JimDocker, how were they?

I got along to the MIFF to see it. Great doco if somewhat sobering. Jeremy's battle with mental illness is very much ongoing and it's fair to say it's something that will dominate his life till his dying days. It's amazing seeing his talent shining through though. He's an amazing guitarist as well as being an incredible song writer and singer. He was also a school boy state champion in surfing and a talented painter.

I'll have to wait until it's out on DVD. When I learnt about Jeremy's illness years ago, the Sunnyboys' lyrics became all the more poignant

Looking forward to seeing this at some point. My wife has seen it and said it was excellent. On a related subject saw the Cosmic Psychos doco last friday and was less than impressed. IMO just a very fluffy version of a not that interesting story.
