I honestly don't think they ever closed it, but they needed to get their personal priorities right, and I think they've done that, and the best of luck to them in their Rugby pursuit......both are super talents and I would welcome them back with open arms...

I'll be the first person to admit that I thought they weren't ever coming back but this gives us a brief glimmer of hope.
Simply must draft his brother now. Kid is worth a top ten pick anyway but if it means keeping Elijah it's common sense.
On AFL Exchange Podcast they talked about if Suns should draft Oliver. Twomey said he has him now 15-20.

Seems likely we get Brisbane's pick, currently 14. Lines up nicely.
Yeah, it looks like could happen that way.
What do you think about Faulkhead? He is probably similar type to Oliver. I like him in VFL and would not mind for Suns to keep him and give him opportunity. List size will be important factor, I suspect.

Can't comment, seen very little of him so far. Be odd to draft a young player like him then cut him lose 6 months later.

They need points for their two F/S players, one of whom goes pick 1 possibly. We have lots of picks we won't use this year. Seems like an obvious trade to get their first and maybe something next year when we may have to match points for 3+ players.

Drafting Elijah’s brother is a good idea if he’s available at our pick but I certainly wouldn’t overreach for him considering there’s no guarantee that Elijah would re-sign just for that
