So the cycle of suns players leaving just when they are entering their prime continues. But can you really blame them when we are yet to play finals and are getting flogged every second week. Dew’s language around Ah Chee suggests he may be out as well. Not sure what the circuit breaker is going to be to end this cycle....

Pretty sure that's Hamilton. I don't know if you listen to the Roar Deal podcast but Whiting has been outed as a Lions supporter a few times over the last couple of years.

That said, I think both Hammo and Fish are pretty good call-em-as-they-see-em types.

I say this respectfully to you but I can see why Lions Fans would think they are OK but as a Suns fan I think they are below disgraceful in their lack of professionalism with their chips on their shoulders about us.
Hamilton I cope with because he’s a part of the whole Drongoe Mail hate on the GC ethos but Whiting is employed by the AFL so i expect much fairer content and less trolling in how he goes about it.

Exactly, Martin could be anything but he hasn’t shown it for us. Ah Chee can’t stay on the park or keep consistent form either.
We have signed almost everyone else. We are on the right track
Martin will help another team but he’s no help to us in a rebuild. Probably scarred after the previous regime too. As long as we get a suitable deal I’m not losing sleep.

I thought Fish said on an episode of the Roar Deal he was a Swans supporter.

Winning. It’s the only way. Most of the blokes who’ve left gave 6-7 years service hoping things would improve on field. Peaheart Caddy and O’Cockface were the main two from memory who jumped earlier than that.

If you could write an article bods what would you say?

Are there any journalists who have earned your respect?

I saw whiting out walking his dog about 2 mins after the final siren when we beat the bulldogs - I was listening on radio. Either he lives just around the corner from me or didn’t watch the game.

To be honest I think he wrote a fair bit of positive stuff in the middle of the year.

He’s certainly not at the level of warner or those pricks.

Cal Twomey, Mark Robinson, Tom Boswell. Very difficult question to answer though because I don’t respect AFL media culture. It’s the only sport where journos openly act as cheerleaders for clubs.

Whiting is definitely better than most but given what his job is which is to cover Suns/Lions for the AFL I get very disappointed in what he delivers on us, especially since the Lions kicked into gear. He was soft on them when they were sh%t but since they’ve gone well he’s gone much harder on us than he ever did on them.

And right on cue Robbo argues we should get a good first rounder for Martin and that disgrace to journalism that Cat Weasel Whateley talks down his value doing the dirty work of Chris Scott, he’s so unprofessional. Yet he’s feted by those VFL imbeciles down south.

Anyway, thanks Robbo for being a pro.

This is an eye opener - I did not realise this until I read it.

Where was this written?
As it’s a valid point, on top of everything else we have no hope of attracting larger sponsors if nobody is watching.

Completely agree nutstar. Not good for our brand at all.

Ironic though that 70% of the VIC's pushing for us to fold or relocate didn't even have access to one of our free to air games for the entire season.. shows they are sheep buying into the continual media bias/agenda against the SUNS.

The problem is, for the locals - the twilight or Sunday afternoon games are probably the best viewing games right?
I'd rather have a stand alone spot on Sunday afternoon than be the secondary game on Saturday night behind Hawthorn / Richmond

Which games are the best for Gold Coast fans/members to attend?

A regular comment on Brisbane’s board is that the early Saturday or Sunday games clash with many families who’s kids play school or club sports, or members who play club football, etc.

Doesn't that go for every team though? Someone gotta play there.
