Can someone post the article as this will affect so many players including potential draftees and this years recruits
Nothing in it. Just the same recycled speculations you can read every day about reducing lists, TPP, soft caps in future. AFLPA has to agree to reducing lists - no negotiations started yet.

It's also a typical free hit on Suns. If Suns are $250M disaster - what are other clubs? St. Kilda is probably 180M, as well Melbourne, Lions, etc. Richest clubs got $100M. Only 4 clubs did not ask for hand out at the moment. Remove pokies and it would be even worse.

Clubs are bracing for an order to cull their lists from about 45 to 35 in 2021 in a bid to save costs.

But player agents warned savage list cuts would require the explicit approval of the AFL Players’ Association.

A provision in the collective bargaining agreement struck between the AFL and the game’s 850 players three years ago stipulates that changes cannot be made to list sizes without AFLPA agreement.

Just like Dwayne Russell it is impossible to avoid Rupert

I’ve been listening to his radio show lately and seems he’s changed his attitude a bit.. he’s been talking up the suns a bit too doesn’t just blatantly dismiss them! He had stewy dew on a month or so ago and was sucking up hard

What does it say?

Basically in the first 2 paragraphs takes a shot at the Sun's for their big list size and then doesn't mention them again while talking about the proposed list size reductions. So no real need to mention the Sun's at all except it was Mick Warner who wrote the article.

I'm not usually one to wish ill on someone but if he got colon cancer I don't think I would be the first in line to start a GoFundMe for the guy.

Anyone see this?
Adelaide's hope of prising Izak Rankine from the Suns in any deal has evaporated. Rankine, pick No. 3 in the 2018 AFL draft, is extremely settled with Stuart Dew's Suns despite being denied a debut last year by hamstring and hip injuries. Suns forward/midfielder Rankine signed a contract extension last July until 2022.
So nice to read a young talent is genuinely loving life here and wants to stay at the club, despite our poor recent results and having options elsewhere. I really hope Rankine gets to debut in round 2 because he's done everything right since he first got injured.

surely.
straight in for holman
plus swallow out means at least 1 guaranteed change

He's following the trend of his SA team mates.

I think I have this right when I say, not one SA player with the Suns has ever requested to go back to Adelaide...
Daniel Gorringe was in negotiations to join Port back in 2014 but that never eventuated. Having said that, our retention rate with South Australians is very good. We have delisted a fair few but none have actually requested a trade home.

Still at the club - Sam Day, Sean Lemmens, Charlie Ballard, Jack Lukosius, Izak Rankine, Jez McLennan.
Delisted - Seb Tape (who still lives and plays on the GC), Daniel Gorringe, Michael Coad, Tim Sumner, Josh Glenn, Keegan Brooksby, Tom Keough, Harrison Wigg.

The one player we did trade to SA was a Queenslander - Charlie Dixon. Go figure.

I played on the Gold Coast in the same year as Petterd, White, Renouf, Kiel.

Played a lot against 'Tinker' Zorko and 'Sticks' Luke Mcguane who were year below and ahead respectively.

Brad Moran and Brock McCauley also guys from the year and two years ahead but weren't playing junior AFL on the coast at that time.

Rhan Hooper was the same year from Ipswich and was the best player at the U16 state titles.
Gavin Urquhart, Austin Lucy and Daniel Dzufer all made it onto AFL lists and were from the same year.

No stars other than Zorko. But there is probably close to 700 AFL games from players recruited out of Queensland in the 2005-2006 era. Not bad!
Unbelievable that we had so much AFL talent come through at the same time on the Gold Coast! Like you said, Zorko was the only guy that became a superstar but having exclusive access to that many AFL quality locals would have really ramped up the quality of the bottom half of our list and that would have made a big difference in competition for spots. GWS had that early days where they were able to draft really high quality talents out of the Albury/Riverina region and we now know they probably have the deepest list in the AFL.

When Charlie left, I was so disappointed. I really felt like he bailed on us especially with the season he had in his last season on the coast.

Has any quality SA player requested a trade back to Adelaide at career peak?
They couldn't even get Pavlich back and they threw the kitchen sink at him
