CareyHeartOfGlass to surely steamroll his way to the minor flag after narrowly missing out on the eight thanks to the Pocket Rockets of John Roarsbotis.

Coached by Steve Brosnan with assistant Brenton Ragless by his side.

It was all going so sweet until shaw and didak got pissed.

Meh, i'll find a way, hopefully there's enough in the tank to make it to the GF - if nothing else, at least i dodged the jets this week :)

1QF: The still undefeated Jets scrape through to a home Prelim thanks to Captain Riewoldt's herculian second half effort with split webbing - limped into the main break on just the 33 (66) points with a duke full of stitches, trudged off at the end with a lazy score of 105 (210).

2QF: Red-hot Team Forza comfortably eases past TailsPower to book a home Prelim, with Mr. Mackie and a star-studded forward line covering for the loss of Heath Shaw and Paul Chapman.

1EF: John Roarsbotis and his Pocket Rockets stunned the ominous threat of chadcornes>you with an astute captaincy choice suggested by his assistants Steve Brosnan and Brendan Ragless. As a disgusted CC>U coach made clear in his post-match presser, Alan Didak and Heath Shaw can start looking for new clubs.

2EF: The two lowest scorers of the week, Mannum Power cruised to an easy win over a fast-fading Rolling Thunder crippled by the loss of Cornes, Salopek, Boak, Osborne, Brad Ebert and the atrocious form of Akermanis.

This week's semi-finals look to be absolute beauties with both matchups scoring within 11 and 27 points of each other last week.

Grand final this week. I'm proud my team made it through especially with so many injuries this year.

I said earlier in the year i had the jets in my sights come finals time and now i have my chance. Hopefully my team still has a couple of tricks and n.g.brown and wirra play this week.

Not sure my team has what it takes to topple the mighty jets but hopefully i can at least rattle some nerves and make it a close one. Good luck DT - i'll do my best to spoil your party :thumbsu:

The Burton Jets Grand Final lineup that participated in the Parade down Holbrooks Rd overseen by Mayor Brosnan was as follows:

DF: BOCK, Nathan, ROUGHEAD, Jarryd, BOWDEN, Joel, GRAM, Jason, JOHNCOCK, Graham, McLEOD, Andrew, IBBOTSON, Garrick. LOWER, Nick [e], NEAGLE, Jay.

MD: BARTEL, Jimmy, CORNES, Kane, ABLETT, Gary, COONEY, Adam, HAYES, Lenny, JUDD, Chris. DALZIELL, Bradd [e], VALENTI, Shane.

FW: FRANKLIN, Buddy, JOHNSON, Steve, DELEDIO, Brett, RIEWOLDT, Nick, HALL, Barry, TIPPETT, Kurt, PAVLICH, Matthew. BROWN, Nathan G., VESZPREMI, Paddy.

The festivities were sullied somewhat when coach deetee began screaming obscenities at Matthew Pavlich and Nathan Brown for costing the Jets two other Preliminary Finals the week before, calling the Fremantle captain "Stephanie Rice with bollocks" and Brown a "fence-jumping closet dweller."

The Burton Jets capped off a stellar season with a comprehensive 2121 to 1898 Grand Final victory over a gallant Team Forza, to clinch the BF Port Board Premiership and an undefeated 18-0 record for season 2008.

Despite another atrocious last day in September performance from Barry Hall, the Jets never looked threatened, with Steve Johnson winning back-to-back Norm Smith Medals up forward in tandem with Brett Deledio and Nick Riewoldt, while Gary Ablett Junior, Chris Judd, Kane Cornes, Adam Cooney, Lenny Hayes and Jimmy Bartel worked liked trojans in the Jets' galactico midfield.

Despite another relatively quiet day from newly-crowned centurion and Captain Buddy Franklin, the 21 year old phenom was beaming with pride alongside out-of-proportion Jets' coach deetee, as the two received the cup from League supremo GirlPower - who it turns out looked nothing like you'd imagined:

haha nice work DT, I look forward to being more prepared next year by researching possible cash cows and by not selecting injured playes from the start, damn you egan, brennan and coughlan

In the end i just couldn't get enough fit players on the field - oh what could've been...

Well done DT. Out of my 3 leagues i only won 1 and lost the GF in the other 2 :(
