I used to walk down the pitch way early sometimes, but when me and my mate played it (thrashed it) then we made a rule that you can't move before the ball is bowled or it was like a game of cat and mouse.

me and my mates had a house rule that we couldn't appeal for lbw's. it would give dodgy lbw's like aleem dar.

the fielders also used to annoy me when they'd pluck a catch from absolutely nowhere.

g.allen from the west indies is the man...i made 778 with him out of a total of 1326. still got the photo somewhere, to prove i did it to my mates

Got broken into recently, and the scumbags nicked my Wii...

Every cloud has a silver lining! SNES is back from the garage into prime position! First time playing on the big screen.

Best individual score I made was 671 from Halliday. Usually play as NZ. 'David' Bremner is my favourite bat, always opens with 'Tim' Mackay, 'Brian' Uniacke and 'Grant' Arthur follow...all lefties!

A mate was talking himself up at a party once about how unbeatable he was and it just so happened the party's host had his SNES and a copy on hand. Bowled him out for 17, including a head shot that knocked him out and was given LBW.

Similar situation at a party as well except i got robbed. Host had this game, and happened to be the one i was challenging. 1 game to sort out Champion of the Universe. Had a good controller and a shitty aftermarket half busted one, i got the shitty one because "home field advantage."

Can't remember the exact scoreline, but i had him something like 8/15 when someone bumped the console and it froze. Of course he called "rain, no result," and we restarted. Something about that kicked him into gear and he won by a couple of runs or wickets in the replay. I was devastated. Ruined my night.

As did I. I used to fake taking a run by slightly moving out of the crease so as to get the opposition to throw the stumps down. Once the stumps have been hit, yet you're still in your ground, many runs can be had because the stumps are broken. Not until they come up to the stumps in person would I stop running.

Also, power + loft + leg glance = hitting a six off each delivery. Happy days.

Managed to pick up a snes with 2 controllers, this game and arkanoid for $12 a few years back, not long before they shot up in price. One of the best multiplayer games by far, so many wasted hours on a emulator in high school and on the snes later on. Used to have a rule though that W.I were banned, was way too easy to rack up a huge score with their speed.

WI's default team isn't all that quick, you're pretty much guaranteed 1/stuff all if they leave Milgrom in. Last time i played with a mate he left him in to open and i actually said, "You sure you don't want to take Milgrom out?" Nup, he was very confident with him. Had him 1/0 after 0.1 because he runs like a slug.

I sometimes play for teams in the summer (In Australia) when there are teams, and I'm good at it too.

WHAT DOES THE X BUTTON DO? > The X button will just tap the ball, yep, just a normal tap. I don't know why you would want to use this though, but still.

i've worked out most of it so far but there's a few things i'm iffy on such as why when playing a straight shot it sometimes becomes a leg glance etc, any tips i need to know? it's very promising haha

I had 2 mates who i always played with. One who was devoted to N Valeri (aka Neil). He liked him more than he liked real life players and swore up and down that he always dominated. Yet every time either of us played against him, we cleaned up N Valeri for stuff all and absolutely carted him. This game provided so much of that though. Personally i rated Shaun Lontis and Fred Lesley as the best WI bowlers, even though their ratings weren't the best. Lesley used to clean whole teams up with LBW's.
