What does everyone want out of this newest game personally I want a game that playes similar to 64 and Sunshine I loved all the world where as the galaxy games had too many levels for me.

I'd like a game similar to Super Mario Galaxy but with power ups less situational. Also if they could have 5 different player character again like in 3D world maybe even more (might be a little greedy).Also can they at least try in the plot and add character development to the character (not all out like in other M but right now Mario is as flat as his side scrollars). Bring back the spin attack also.

I'm assuming his thinking more along the genreal idea of the map being an interactive world itself, as opposed to the 1-1,1-2 etc crap that goes all the way back to the SMB3 days, and came back in 3D World.

Yeah that's what I meant.

They need to re-release Super Mario 64 on the Switch. Despite owning it on both the Wii and the 3DS, I would buy it again if they release it on the Switch Virtual Console (hopefully they do have a Virtual Console on the Switch).

Some interesting Donkey Kong references are in the city of the new Mario game. Diddy's Mart on Dixie street and a car with the rego 1981 the year the original Donkey Kong game came out

That hub world seems so odd and jarring. I don't quite know what to make of it! Not sure if it would look better if

A) it was drawn cartoony in the usual mario game style, but still had the yellow cabs, businessmen in suits, buildings etc, or

B) they used a realistic Bob Hoskins/Captain Lou Albano/Ron Jeremy model for mario in those sections. Maybe he could be out of breath walking up stairs let alone wall jumping up a sky scraper

Keen to try it though the levels look fantastic as usual, and it's mario, how bad could it be?!
