Just having a look at the new interface I can instantly see some issues. While it's all well and good that they have implemented AJAX which should certainly help with all the server issues during the initial hours of mayhem, there are some issues and suggestions I have:

  1. Firefox has a 21% share of browser use. I can't switch from graphical team view to player stats view because half of the tab is hidden by the box above, and it's unclickable. The TAC ad is also covering some info on the same row further to the right.
  2. When adding players, the highlighted players in a darker box don't show up properly in firefox either, and it's way too dark. They should be highlighted i.e. light blue not dark blue. The amount of players highlighted in blue in the drop down box changes depending on the position of the vertical scroll bar (the scroll bar of the whole page, not the drop down)
  3. All the text is too small, on the football field the name, prices and scores should all be much bigger and bolder.
  4. It's cool how when you hit substitute on a player it highlights the emergencies :D
  5. I would like to see a new section - a private notes area divided into backs, mids, fwds, rucks where you can add players and comments on those players. Like rookies you want to keep an eye on but not have as emergencies.
  6. I hope the "clear my team" button has an "are you sure?" popup!
  7. Auto-fill should auto-fill any vacant spots 10 seconds before the first lock-out so no one has invalid teams this year.

Give your own positive and negative feedback in this thread and hopefully the designers can tinker with it over the next few weeks.

Apparently this is how the new system tells you that you have exceeded the salary cap...noice!

I exceeded my salary cap and just got a popup saying you dont have enough cash.

The error you have looks like an Rsync server (Backup) which probably means their backup server died or that there is somthing wrong with the sync'ing process

Hopefully AJAX will help - who knows until D-day :)

I setup a team this morning on it and I had zero issues with Firefox 3.

Maybe you just have a weird setup.

Try creating a new firefox profile that has no modifications to any default settings (like font sizes) and see if that helps.

The darkness/lightness of the blue boxes also caused no problems with me.

I'm pretty sure it would work in a standard Firefox 3 browser because most programmers would use that for unit testing :D

hmmmm, for ships and giggles, I opened two windows.

In the first window I saved Lids in the forward line.

In the second window- in the mids.

(didn't work which is good- kept him as a mid.).

Now however, when I go on to create a team with lids in the forward line, it throws him back as a center!

It's throw Sidebottom into the RUCKS!

and Currie into the forward line...

Sadly, when I hit team again, it's got Lids in the middle, and a gapping hole in the forward line...

hmmm... this isn't boding well... :D

I'd take Sidebottom as a ruck in a heartbeat!

I've had no problems though in Firefox 3.0.5. Suggest you try zooming out to see if that reduces the size of the boxes obstructing your buttons.

Yeah now I'm thinking it might be my firefox addons causing issues....but I only have two enabled currently - lastpass which wouldn't effect it, and tree style tab which is the more likely culprit.
