Like a 34 year old returning from an ACL. Lost a yard of pace and his kicking is a bit loose. Still preseason but can't see him increasing in value
is boyd still gonna rack em up this year or is it more JJ and biggs?

Hard to say how Boyd is going from the preseason, only played half the final game before getting his ear ripped off

Suckling appears to be going well after an injury troubled year and Murphy is back so he may be slightly less involved

so hard to pick, I'm in a draft that has 300 players drafted so i really needa figure it out haha

Boyd is a bit over priced but should be somewhere around his usual mark. wouldn't be the worst pick - has averaged 102 across the last 4 years in SC

I'm also a back up ruck as a fwd structure player. But I want my b/up to have the potential to be top 10 forward. So Ryder is my preference but he is inconsistent and the most expensive of the 3 I'm considering. Nankervis will get plenty TOG but will he be a top 10 forward. Doubt it. So Toyd comes into consideration. Ok. He won't be Top 10, but at his price ( about 130k less than Ryder) I'm almost confident he could average 80, then I can trade him out for a premo. But I really don't know which way I will go yet.

This is how people run out of trades, trying to get the best of both worlds with mid-pricers that score mediocre and make little cash

And like every other year in SC, all plans fly out the window come team selections for R1.

I wasn't suggesting I'd be going with Boyd, simply suggesting it was 1 of 3 strategies I was considering. Set & forget has been my usual strategy for rucks but I'm just not sold on the Gawnstein combo in 2017 for the reasons many have posted about. I'll probably end up going Gawn/ Sandi and hope Ryder plays consistently to warrant an F5 or 6 position by season end.

Sandi's price is really tempting, and he'll get big scores, but my worry is he might not play many away games this year.

Yep. That's why a R/F back up is essential. Just not sure which one ( $ dependant) will suit overall team balance. If it's Ryder I'll hope as stated he's good enough to warrant a F5 or 6, but if I concede I'll need to trade up later it will be Nank or Moyd.

Not if Roughead is fit

Campbell is a better tap ruckman but Roughead is better around the ground and has been our preferred option
Fair enough
Picked him up last pick of a draft. Was either him or Zac Smith
He might play some games whilst Roughead is out injured though (assuming he recovers from his own injury)
