Got my lanyard/fridge magnet today. Tis a bit more flimsy than last year's one. Also apparently my size is exhausted in the Supporters Pack

A question - if I'm a gold member of 10 years and I bought the supporters pack, can I combine the 30% off and 15% off at the Superstore respectively to get 45% off?

I wish our scarves had the years of membership like the Hawks.

This Makes you look really dedicated if you have heaps of years.

Tightwad Pies

Just got a letter from CFC with the usual sticker,lanyard etc but NO CAP!! Whats with that?? Record membership,record profit and they stinge on a cap. Is the this the case over all memberships or just the AFL memberships?
Thoughts??

You'll probably have to pick it up at one of our home games during the season.

they chip ur membership card and they give u a hat outside the ground.

Thats what I would have thought - the letter went onto say "those who have purchased our Official Side by side supporter kit,member cap or member scarf will have it posted to them" Guess time will tell - pretty crap if they dont give you one,considering broke clubs like Richmond still give their members one.

We're looking at 70,000 members as a target, won't be able to afford a scarfe, etc for all of them unfortunately.

I'll happily go without for another premiership.

I went to the Collingwood tent just before the NAB cup game on sat night and was advised there are no free caps from members this year (as in previous years).

Only way to get a cap this year is to pay $45 I believe which gets you a cap, scarf and polo shirt.

Disappointing.

I bought my membership at the family day and how will I get my hat, scarf and top, will they deliver it to my adress or do I pick em up at the tents during match day. Also how long have rest waited to recieve their memberships this year?

I emailed the club last week and they said that they will be mailing the next lot of supporters packs out mid March when the next lot of stock comes in. Looks like fairly poor planning if you ask me.

Last year I got my membership mailed to em in June and I bought it in December. But il cut em some slack, we do have the most members in the league.

Due to feedback from a membership focus group, hats are no longer part of the membership pack. I receive an email from the club about this a couple of months ago and I can't believe more people aren't aware of this.

I was not part of the group and I am one who looked forward to receiving to receiving my cap.

How on earth does it make sense? We just won the premiership, are going to smash records in memberships and make huge profits..reducing the membership pack seems quite the opposite of the "thankyou for being a member" message they should be sending!

It was not a focus group. It was a Member survey, which I participated in.
There was a bit of discontent over the quality of the hats last season (search this board) and, though I opted to pay more and get a free, better quality hat, the majority did not. They wanted cheaper membership.
The club took notice of the feelings of the majority, something many have whined they have not done for many years.
One of the suggestion I made, which was encouraged on the survey, was that some more up-market attire be available, such as a club business shirt, Tie and cuff-links package be made available. They did this.
Really I can't see how members can have it both ways.
One thing to consider, specifically on the Supporter Pack issue is that after a flag the market for Collingwood gear changes remarkably.
I have many (and I mean many) direct relatives who are Collingwood supporters, few though are members.
As a consequence I ordered 8 supporter packs in total and 10 (5 orders) of the Tee-shirt. I'm sure I'm not Pat Malone here.
The other thing to consider is that at $45 a hat, scarf and polo are pretty good value.

All these things add up to a very large demand for something the club could not always be sure they would need to have too many of. (if we lost for instance).

Rather than blame the club maybe a little patience while waiting for something which obliviously means a lot as otherwise no-one would be complaining.

I have not received diddly, but I know I will.

The crap clubs give more that our club who has the most money, biggest supporter base and is reigning premier.
I got my sticker and lanyard today. Actually 5 of them. Yippppeeeeee!
How generous of them.
