Survivor Series

Batista has to DESTROY Rey for his turn to mean anything.

Considering the PPV is being held in Washington DC (Batista's hometown), it'll be interesting to see how they play it. They'll obviously want to get him over as a heel, and the easiest way to do that is by destroying Rey. But putting him in total distruction mode will most likely get the fans cheering him, as they did upon his exit at Bragging Rights. Hopefully they just let Batista bulldoze Rey Goldberg-style, just because it'd add something different to the current main event scene to have a take-no-crap guy who just rips through people in the mix.

Re: Survivor Series *spoilers*

from nodq.com
This is nothing set in stone but there was a discussion among WWE creative last week about doing a five-on-five elimination match at the Survivor Series pay-per-view with each team having two RAW stars, two SmackDown stars and one ECW star.

and what do people think of the survivor series website on wwe.com??

f*ckin bullshit that kingstons team won and they made him pin orton:thumbsd::mad::rolleyes:
Kofi getting a real push

Good to see, now if only they can start pushing Punk again

I tend to agree with borrat, it's redicoulous that Kofi is pushing over Orton, Orton is the best wrestler on Raw by a country mile and time and time again they make him look weak as piss, the best thing they could have done was after last weeks Raw have Orton win and then in the 1-1 contest Kofi win.

But now there obviosuly going to have Orton win the 1-1, which is just pointless...

They need to push younger talent though.

Otherwise we keep getting orton, cena, micheals, HHH matches on raw and taker, batista, edge matches on smackdown.

They need to push punk, Kofi and eventually swagger, bourne, miz, morrison etc and give them clean wins over the likes of orton or cena or they will never ben scene by the fan to be in the main event league.

Tell me you enjoyed the idea of another cena orton match or tripleH HBK cena match?

Punk didn't work as champ, I doubt Kofi will and i doubt swagger bourne or any of them will.

Orton is the only main event heel on Raw. He is the best wrestler and already has the credits. He can put over anyone and has done so time and time again.

Kofi has exceeded expectations in terms of performance and having his Msg moment. He looks a good prospect long term for the wwe

Seriously who else is he meant to go over? Cena? No he can't put anyone over, it never looks believable. HHH? of course not any win or him is scripted to look flukey. HBK? however he isn't a heel so no point - although HBK does and continues to put over others and make everyone he works with look damn good

It's a good call. Orton has already looked weak as piss against Cena, we all know that Orton will win this little feud series thing but it should be interesting to see how Kofi goes.

Dissapointing that Orton has to be used like this however he is the main man, pity the folks before him didnt do enough of it

Wrong.
Wrong.
Wrong. (Maybe right about Bourne)

Cm Punk as champion, especially in his feud against Jeff Hardy was awesome. Something new and he's a beast cutting straight edge promos. Only people I know who thought Punk sucked then, were massive Jeff Hardy marks who just didn't want to hear Punk ripping into him like that, lol.

Kofi can and probably will work as champion, and they're going about it the right way. Orton is the top RAW heel, and doesn't seem to be the type to politic his way, and hold everybody below him. People piss and moan we get the same main event over and over and over again.. yet when they decide to push someone like Kofi over somebody like Orton, even if it means Orton has to look weak at times, people piss and moan over Orton looking weak... you can't have it both ways.

Swagger.. well he's just awesome!

Bourne - Eh.. I'm not really a fan since his move to RAW. On ECW I was enjoying what he was doing, since he went to RAW he's just been lost in the shuffle.

Miz, Morrison, Swagger, Kingston, MVP, Ziggler.. these guys are the future.:thumbsu:

As for the PPV? Would have rather seen Swagger, Miz, Shaemus as the final three, and have Swagger / Miz argue over who had a greater influence on the team (both having been a 'survivor') leading to a US title feud between them.

Team Kofi vs Team orton was alright.

Divas match / Batista Rey... I had a nap.

UT retained - as expected

Cena retained which was ****ing aids.

Punk was massively over as a Heel champ, he was generating real heat

He lost the title due to back stage politics and comparing himself to cena, but he was clearly over

For some reason that Falcon Arrow (Sitout Suplex Slam) that Punk gave to Kofi just looked so indy compared to most moves you see in WWE these days. Not that that's a bad thing, of course :D Would be a nice addition to Punk's moveset, because he pulled it off well.

I thought the WWE Championship Match was good, and am not really fussed about the result. I honestly didn't care who won, I just wanted a good match.

The rest of the PPV was decent. It wasn't any special, but it wasn't terrible either. I'm particularly glad though with the booking in the Batista-Rey match. That's exactly how they had to do it. No big suprises really, but a decent show. The next PPV should automatically be more exciting due to the obvious big spot possibilities that TLC matches present.

Apparently Cm Punk is in the dog house again :thumbsd:

He was in the dog house because of the remarks he made about Cena but i think that's over now and they are using him to push R-Truth now, i think they have finally realised that the fans are getting sick of the same people main eventing everything and starting to push younger talent.

I'm particularly glad though with the booking in the Batista-Rey match. That's exactly how they had to do it.

Had to be done to make Batista's heel turn work and also because Rey is going out for surgery.

Yea that's what I meant, it would have killed the momentum of the heel turn if it was done any other way.

I hadn't heard that Rey is going out for surgery, but I can't say I'm suprised. Not because I bought the Batista beatdown as especially brutal enough to genuinely put him on the shelf (even though I've acknowledged that it was good enough to serve its purpose within the storyline), but because it seems like Rey just can't go more than 2-3 months without getting suspended or going off for surgery these days.
