He is still a champion and deserves to start in the middle IMO.

He is so gooooood and he was not even trying.

Pendles, Swanny & Adams......that is my perfect set up with one minute in a Grand Final to go and five points down.

Kudos to Treloar his second half proved why we gave up 1 & a half first round picks :thumbsu:

He was good and at times looked like he was going through the motions however my only concern was he was caught holding the ball a number of times. Hoping it was just his casual approach to the game rather than him slowing right down with age- which of course is going to eventuate at some point.

Up forward keeps swan playing for another year possible 2 we need him to play forward. His body isn't getting any younger

He is too good for the forward line.

I hope Bucks sees that.

Let the newbies earn the right to displace him in the centre.

On what I have seen he has lost none of his footballing gifts.......Gun!

That was noted on SEN after the game, that Swan had lost a yard or two of pace. Maxxy said wasn't an issue that was just Swanny in the pre-season taking it a bit easy, come rd1 the pace will come back.

Maxy would know best.....I think Swanny was taking the piss personally. Just makes it look easy.

Not bad for a collective total of pick 63.

I think I'll miss swanny more than any player I've missed in my lifetime besides Didak and Buckley. Shame he's only got a few years left, I actually think he will go out this year if we win the GF.

(2016 is the new 2010, boys. Nobody rates us and then we pounce on the competition)

Varcoe is number 3. Under rated.
Pretty sure most posters are fawning over Varcoe. Who is he underrated by? Nobody on this board imo.

If we had 2010 Cloke and 2010 Reid, this slightly outlandish prediction would only be a little absurd. Unfortunately with 2016 Cloke and Reid's beaten up corpse constantly trying to be revived by trainers, it is not even in the realm of possibility.

Swanny forward won't just be about preservation, we will need him there to cover the loss of Elliott.

No doubt Swan will have rotation through the middle.
But he is the oldest player on our list isn't he?
And with reduced rotations, he cannot be used in there at the same rate he has been in years past.
Still an important cog in our overall game plan, but forward line is his future.
And the future is now.

Great question with centre square GF final 5 minutes (assuming we not coasting, but tight game)

For me: Pendlebury, Swan, Treloar (Adams lurking outside with Greenwood)

He has many good qualities but he's not number three (not top ten actually, sorry)

1. Pendlebury
2. Swan
3. Cloke (easily, he's that important)

If on ball types top 3 is Pedlebury, Swan, Treloar

Me too. Can't explain why but he feels like family (including we've got to accept the good and the bad!)

Cloke is as important as Jesse White.

Cloke hasn't gone close to winning us a game in 3 years.

Cloke should be important...

But he is not... otherwise we would not have won any games since 2012.
