I'd take the Collingwood trio. Swan is probably the best player in the comp right now, along with Goodes. Murphy is a deadset gun, and a more complete midfielder than Pendlebury. Tie between Pendlebury and Judd. Tossup between Gibbs and Ball.

I went with Carlton, only because i reckon Ball is letting them down. If Thomas were in place of Ball, i'd say Collingwood trio.

Gibbs and Ball are very different players but I think they bring a similar amount to either team (IMO Gibbs has the capacity to be much better).

Really? Ball has been fantastic this year, back to his very best.
If anything Gibbs is 'letting down' the Carlton boys.
I'm obviously bias but I rate Swan just over Judd and Pendle's just over Murphy (although Murphy has really stepped up this year and is playing some great footy), but I rate Ball a lot higher then Gibbs at the moment. Saying that I reckon Gibbs is due for a hugh improvement next year, he has all the tools he just needs to learn to apply them better and become more consistent.

I don't rate him anywhere near Swan or Pendles, and i would prefer Gibbs over him.

I think Balls efforts have gone unnoticed a bit this year with he likes of Swan, Pendles, Cloke, Reid, Thomas etc. around him. But he is so important to our team and he would have been in our best in most if not all games this year. If I had to choose three players out of Swan, Pendles, Thomas and Ball to take into the grand final I would have a very hard choice on my hands!
Ablett, Judd and Pendlebury are all better than Swan.
Also I'd probs go with Carlton. 50/50 though.

Ha ha ha! Luke Ball has been absolutely fantastic for Collingwood since he played his first match in black and white stripes last season! This poll though should also include Dale Thomas for Collingwood though, and maybe Andrew Carrazzo or another midfielder for Carlton.

ball severely underrated by carlton fans. They picked up brock mclean same draft. They needed a ball and still do. Must hurt them to see it working out so well for collingwood. Gibbs would have to be close to rioli as the most overrated player on Bigfooty.

If it's a midfield comparison, it's Collingwood without a doubt because Gibbs isn't a midfielder's arseh*le.

Bang..IMO Thomas is better than Ball. But seems Ball is there i'd probably call it a draw. Put Thomas there and easy Collingwood. So damaging.
