Will be pushing sh*t up hill to get back to week I reckon which blows, seeings I have him in DT and we need him desperately next week.

Looked back though and he was proppy as after it, wouldn't surprise me if he pulled up pretty sore. Knees just aren't meant to bend like that...

wait till the scans come back.. iirc the report after the freo game a few weeks back was that palmer was a bit sore in the knee and will be fine.. couple of days later hes out for the season.. could be nothing for swan... could be 8 weeks.. touch wood..

The Doc sounded pretty confident that Swan would be fine - said he could have gone back on if the match was closer. The way he just glossed over it and moved onto other injuries made me think he was 99% sure. If Swan ends up missing weeks, I say the Doc shall lose his 'best in the business' tag ;)

I haven't seen the injury but going by what people have said and what I heard on the radio, if Swan plays next week that will be a legendary effort. Shame I lost by 8 pts in the elim though...if he stayed on I might've won it... fml

Was a bit of a wierd injury. Happened down infront of me.. he copped a clothesline and went down holding his knee. They said on talk back last night on the way home he could have come back on if he wanted. Just have to wait n see how the scans come up!

He hasn't been included on Collingwood's injury list. Fraser is listed as test and Cloke 2 to 3 weeks.

Mind you Beams isn't on the list, and wasn't on it last week either! :rolleyes:

agreed. the report states;
"Walsh said midfielders Dane Swan (groin) and Dale Thomas were sore but should be right to play this week."

i wouldnt believe anything they say this early in the week ...
just have to wait and see if he trains at all this week and even if he is named he would prob be a 50/50 chance to play in my opinion ... especially with the amount of late withdrawls the pies have had this yr

not sure about swan...

An email from MM

"We've got six days to rebound, and in doing so we'll pick a new side, because
unfortunately we have lost a few players through injury"

Cloke is the only one put down as one week, i think swan, thomas and fraser will be very doubtful. Collingwood places alot of emphasis on playing players who are 100% fit.
