Does anybody know if it is possible to buy tickets this far away from the Round 20 game? Got cheap Jetstar flights in their sale today - get on there if u can, available until midnight.

We went to the Sydney game last year and they didn't go on sale until about 4-6 weeks before the game, can't remember exactly.

Ticketek do all the Sydney games and if you're in Geelong you can get the tickets from GPAC.

Yeah viewing is kinda shit for the prices, pain in the arse to get too as well kinda. As is everything in sydney!

They don't go on sale until about a month before the game, but you can always get good seats unless we're on a winning streak. Just to make sure you get the best ones, get in early.

You can always pick up and walk into the premium section if you don't like your seats. Nobody cares much.

Yeah, had a ball, can't remember too much of the game though had one too many frothies :D

If you're talking about the surface, yeah it was pretty crappy.

The stadium seating is pretty ordinary unless you sit in premium seats, which we did, 2 rows behind Franky and Cooky actually. Spoke to them at half time and after the game and they thanked us for supporting the club interstate, a pair of good blokes those too.

Definitely going again this year without hesitation, and whoever said it's hard to get to the ground is dribbling shit. We caught a train 2 blocks from Darling Harbour where we stayed and got off at the ground, train travel is included with the game ticket too.....and best of all is you get off the train at the ground and the bars and eateries are right there looking at you :D:D

Can you remember what prices you were looking at for the premium seats (including the train travel)?

The Mrs reckons premium seats were around $70 i reckon they were a bit more like $100 but we're only guessing.

The train travel comes with any type of seating you purchase, like you don't need premium seats to get the free travel GA tickets gets you the free train travel as well.

yeh i remeber when i was there for the oylmpics that the trains were bloody awesome......

but $70 - $100 is bloody crap..... for a seat

i remeber calling up K-rock before this game...and Bewsy was giving me shit for having Adam Cooney in my final 22 all australians...... i think he said " he dosnt do enough to be an AA IMO " funny to look back on now...

What $$ are the airfares and hotels near the ground? Wouldn't mind taking the family to a game in Sydney. Is there any good hotels near the ground that aren't going to break the bank? Haven't been to Sydney in about 10 years so any tips would be good.

I wouldn't stay near the ground it's out in the sticks and there's not much to do there with the family.

Your better off staying in the city somewhere like Circular Quay or Darling Harbour or maybe just on the outskirts.

The grounds easy to get to by train from wherever you stay.

stay in the cbd, somewhere close to central station...easy, free travel to the game. nothing out where the stadium is so if u wanted to go sight seeing around sydney you'd have to keep going back n forth.
